UPDATE 11/19/09 AUCTION IS LIVE!! AND SO IS MY GRANDMA Well after many hours working on this guys, I am almost done. I am writing this from the hospital with my Grandma. (She is doing better) Here is where I am at and he will be finished tonight Still gotta do the details and other things. This is my first re-shell so please be kind Thanks to Wheel_Jack for the Jazz he did. Also, thanks to Frenzy_Rumble for hooking me up with the Jazz noodle and decals I have decided to update Jazz This little guy is pretty difficult to work on... I used a universe prowl, a 1/35 Porsche 911 GTI slot car, a head from F_R, decals he and I made as well. I base coated him with automotive urethane PPG white and a purple pearl, added the decals and then used urethane automotive clear for the best shine!!! To bad my pics don't show it.. THIS HAS BEEN A HUGE LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ME IN THE WAY OF CUSTOMIZING. Thanks to all the pioneers of this art!
WOW, I am looking forward to this!!!! BTW how did you go about cutting up that model kit, your cuts look sooo clean.
awesome i know it will turn out great im a real big fan of your works especially your powermaster prime by the way have you finished him up yet?
Thanks. I used a razor and multiple passes over and over and over and....well, you get the idea. I hope so...and no, I have not finished him. He is still where I last updated him.. Soon though.. HAHAHA...Right......who would have thought...me...reshell....hahah...there was just nothing fitting for Jazz....So, we shall see how this turns out..
wen ever i see a jazz custom.. the voice in my head always pops in at the end of the first TFTM when prime takes his torso and says.. "ahhh.. jazzzzzz..." lol. and then i saw this and was like wowow. are u going to make like a junkyard/scrap version of him! haha then i realized it was a work in progress and obviously a G1, more tranditional version of him hehe-_- lol cant wait to see the final version
I'm sure someone as talented as you are can knock this one out the park....man, this charity set is really gonna be one sweet a$$ set!!
NICE a reshell by encline!! I'm definitely looking forward to this! But....that's not a 935, is it?! Styling cues suggest 911, but the rear is a little too long....
just hope you find some other way of getting the head in, i really don't like the collar Prowl and the others have
HAHA...It would be like the robot chicken episode where they drive off leaving half of Jazz...HAHA.. Yup,,,G1-ish I don't know man....reshelling something this small is a task.. I give props to everyone that reshells...ANYTHING.... Thanks....it is a Porshe 911 GT1 "LE MANS 97"... haha...I will try...but no promises. I hope soo... hahah...yEAH, I am thinking "what did I get myself into!!!!!" It is a 1/35 slot car.. Got a couple of pics while I took a break.
looking good man, reshelling is a BITCH. i've attempted once, and i realized the model scale was too small, so I said screw it. and that was alternator size, so I def. feel ya on reshelling a deluxe. Looking forward to updates and resultd bro
SICK new pics! Looks like the 911 GT1 Le Mans mold works wonders!! Thanks for letting me know, I was going crazy for a little while trying to figure which Porsche it was..... Hmm, I hope you're going to get rid of the "neck" base, it looks like you're trying to figure out a way to.
wow, i was going to guess a Porsche 997 but i guess it makes sense that it's a 911 since it's a track car with the roof scoop.
Nice work so far, encline! This has a nice IDW feel to it (at least in the chest). Looking forward to seeing more, bro.
