this was another contest entry for the S70 minibot challenge. a bit more inspired than Warpath.

I had finished him and I don't know what did it but I got a Samurai vibe from him, so I gave him swords

I don't think I've ever wanted an Armada figure not named Unicron as much as I do now.

 

I really, really like him. I'm so used to seeing his car mode, but the samurai vibe fits him very well, as does the decayed red, and Mudflaps head???? PERFECT!  

 

This was my favorite one!!...I love the way you painted him up too AM....he looks killer  

The swords are a nice touch too  

 

thanks guys, the original toy was nothing like a sports car. I don't know when that changed.

I have been trying out new painting methods lately, all 3 of my minibots for this were given the look.

I hated the armada figs as well. glad to change your mind here

This an amazing custom! Would never imagine Swerve like this. But it works so well. Awesome job!  

 

part of the true genius here for changing the aesthetic is something as simple as not folding the grill back up. Very cool.

 

I really really like the Mudflap head on this mold and the tabard look created by the chest piece. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it, but I'm stealing it.

 

I love that weathered red color he has. And yeah, the swords look great with his bulky arms. Great job  

 

I really like the head you used here. After I saw it over at sector70 I immediately wanted to do one myself but I think I'm gonna make him into Gears, which I think was one of the other entries.
