Interesting theory. Then again, I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that Sky-byte was considered for Universe 2.0, most likely as a repaint of this mold.

A mixed lot: mostly Liquitex Basics but also, Americana Acrylics, Model Masters, and an acrylic paint brand I picked up in Europe.

Just twist those fin parts under his forearms off from his forarms. If you're careful to keep the peg intact, it doubles as a gun handle
