All right. Prices will be set soon, we have a price in mind for our first round of preorders, but we are also going to be ebaying a few to see what the market will bare. If you want, you can wait and see if they come up cheaper, but if they come up higher, that will be the new price, so at your own risk. We are ready to start taking pre-orders, and as I can't really juggle between both forums here is how we are doing it....

STEP 1 Send me an email at [email protected]

STEP 2 In you post, say what type you would like, or no preference. If you would like more than one, put them in the order that you would like them. You also need to say your real name, your screen name, and use the email address that your paypal is linked to.

I will then compile a list that puts them in order recieved. If you wanted multiple versions, I will make lists for both, as we can't be sure how many clear ones, or anime colours would be wanted, if we can fulfill both at that time we will, but if not we will deal with them one at a time. Our shipping is around 5 bucks with DC, so the one at a time method is not so bad.

STEP 3 Receive an invoice. At this point you can either pay and receive your piece/s at our soonest shipping day, or refuse because you don't like the price or want to wait. At this point, you have eight hours to pay or we move to the next person on the list, and move you down to the bottom. If you would like to be removed completely, please let us know or we will keep sending you invoices, lol.

These will probably be done ten to fifteen at a time over the course of one to two weeks.


These are going to be handled more closely to the way mattycollector handles their online exclusives. We will not be selling a group of six headmasters, as by the time we get to the sixth, the molds for the first one will probably be dead. So this will be a one at a time thing. Once we get through the preorders, we will maintain a small stock on the website, but not much.


Don't put your name here to be put on a list, or PM me, as I will lose track and I don't want anyone gettting lost in the shuffle.

Here is one example of a clear "Fireguts version".

We have also settled on the final price and timeframe for these. The price is $60 a unit, or 3 for $150. They all cost the same. We won't have an anime correct version, but instead an anime inspired which will actually look better. His anime colours were all mustard yellow with only his front legs being light grey. Pretty boring, so in keeping with the colour spread, we are doing all his limbs and head in the grey. No pics as of yet.

Our time frame will be to release them one every month to six weeks. This gives us a chance to keep up with orders, and people who want several different types a chance to save up and not be bogged down with too much product (first wave of ROTF toys anyone?). After we move on to the next one, the last one goes into the store inventory where they will cost $65 and there aren't any more bulk discounts, so preorder people do get a better deal. I have a feeling some of the ebay pieces will go crazy, but that will not effect you guys.



Matt, G2 is interesting. I have a way to recreate that nasty '89 and G2 gold plastic. I am thinking of doing Shuffler like that to combine my two favourite things, the rarity of Shuffler with the fuck you in the ass breakability of Black Zarak.

 

awesome project...that fireguts version is plastic crack porn you will be getting an email from me wanting a version of each that you make...also i'm with matt on this g2 would be superb...there is beauty in those garish bright color schemes

 

Oh man that crystal version is fantastic.
They are a bit too rich for my blood (but I'm notoriously cheap) but you are doing a huge service for the fans here.

Here are pics of the anime inspired version. I say inspired because the technically correct version is all yellow but with grey forelimbs. It is almost painfully boring and our molds aren't set up like that. I think most people would agree that this looks a hell of a lot better.

These look amazing... But $60 is a little rich for me for something so small. Wish you guys luck, though!

Elrod, there is no reason for you to destroy any more of your rare headmasters! I have a source that is making these again from original molds with injected plastic. His will be in white ($125) and original colors ($85), and they would be great for dissecting to make anime-accurate repros like you are doing. They are exactly like G1 headmasters in color and appearance, so they are much cheaper to hack up for casting than a $300+ original. Just let me know if you need any. Shufler is ready to go, and the others are not far behind.

 

Wow I must say this makes me sad. Elrod is offering something to collectors without taking anything away from those who already have the originals and you are condoning repro's in original colors. A sad day indeed....
So there you go, EvilBay will soon be covered with repro's and you know people will try to pass them off as originals...Sad....

 

Never said I was condoning it, just that I know where to get them. I hate to see Elrod destroy originals when these are coming soon. He can copy one of the repros and still make fire guts and anime versions, which are awesome!

 

By buying them you are condoning the making of them. Not trying to be a jerk or anything but that is the plain truth.
