after messing with a bunch of junkers,this is the result so far.(my contribution to the recycling efforts)i'd like to call him powerup ultra magnus,or as it would sound in japanese...SUPLA DUPLA ULTLA MACNETlolz!!this is for a good friend and originally i started this guy with the full intention of messing him up real bad with some battle damage.however,after getting him to this stage,i don't think i have it in me to butcher poor u/m and defile him the cab itself is still a wip but so far he's now got "duellie"wheels and a set of hands salvaged from cybertron defense hotshot.his rifle can transform into both a standard u/m styled rifle or into a sniper rifle.it's built from a original g1 u/m rifle and some styrene and lego bits.the trailer was bucked up with a dremel,then had starwars xover combiner chewbacca's hips and thighs added to allow transformation.2 original g1 u/m trailers were sacrificed to help beef him up(most evident in the rear end/super mode feet).his shoulders now have pretty much 360 degree rotation,courtesy of "struxx".to help him stand and be able to do some poses,the bottoms of his feet have been beefed up with bits and pieces including legs from a g1 blitzwing.then his cavities in his feet were filled with hot glue for added lower weight.his trailer also got the doubled up wheel treatment like the cab,making him a true 18 wheeler.(22 if you count the 4 hidden inside his legs that i was too lazy too remove)the only alteration to the big head besides paint is the addition of bigger optics,more g1ish.he can still hold 3 deluxe sized bots nice and snug.with the addition of the feet armor and the transformation from chewbacca,u/m now stands 2 inches taller than a stock g1 u/m.the pic of just u/m without his armor is a wip pic.still a bit more to do to this bot,but the hardest is tracking down another donor chest shield/aircraft drone thing.the one on it now is from my personal collection,but it kinda shows that killing almost a half hour custom mixing the blue paint paid off.i don't want to do that again for awhile.his fists in super mode are from armada super prime.the paints used were all tamiya acrylics so far,but that can change as this guy gets completed.
i'd never had a g1 ultra mag. but i kno i've seen pics of it and i kno it doesnt look this good! haha. gj man!

This is quite a tasty alternative to Fansprojects City Commander...but it works as a G1 alternative as well. I think you did something really unique here, those rocket launchers are something else! Nice use of left overs, I would never have known if you did not say something...
looks nice. any chance of a straight on shot? he seems to need bigger and longer thighs. but still b'dass regardless.
