Thanks again! Your advice was very helpful!!! There is no pretending trust me Thanks for the kind words Thanks I'm already super cool! But I'll help you I know ya need it
Nice work. I wish Hasbro would retool Nightstick and release a four pack of Targetmaster weapons one each for Hot Rod, Kup , Blurr and Scourge.
Thanks and yeah. That's the goal of my project. I still have to track down another Nightstick and a Botcon Scourge (I have a cyber-key ready for him too for his vehicle mode) sadly Botcon Scourge isn't a cheap figure to come by!
I'm sorry I missed this thread when it was new, but man these are nice. I can't wait to see you paint them! Don't be afraid! These guys are small enough that you shouldn't have to worry about brush strokes really. You can always practice painting some scrap pieces first if you must These are certainly good enough that when they're finished, you should have your father in-law help you with some macro shots.
Thanks Redline! Glad to see you back and posting I'm not too worried about brushstokes. I'm worried about priming that upper or lower half of the figure that needs to be painted grey/silver And I do have some scrap figs. Great idea!
welll, priming isn't always necessary. I only worry about priming my figures when I am going to be painting a darker part to a much lighter color.
Dude those are awesome. May try that since Im tired of finding pistols for them all Finally a good use for all my Minicons.
Right, which I'm gonna be doing. So I'm gonna have to prime half of the body so I can get it grey/silver. And I'm going to attempt to do that without taking the little guys apart. (Gonna learn the hardway) just worried about those elbow and arm joints. Thanks Muffin!
You should be fine painting them, just make sure not to put too much paint on the joint. You could always just paint the arms and leave the hands unpainted so that you can give the arm a bend as you go. Then paint the hands when the arms are dry. I don't think you should need primer though. The grey and silver should be fine painted over a dark piece. Priming is really only necessary if you're going from, say, blue or red to yellow, or from anything to white.
Those look great, man! I've only done a little bit of modding myself - TF07 Swindle head mod was my first, then Universe 2.0 Ironhide/Ratchet... I'd like to learn more. It's always really cool to see budding customizers starting out, especially when I see really cool stuff like this.
