Another non- Tf custom, this time again from the Star Wars Universe (incidentally, expect a couple more over the commencing weeks - I managed to get hold of a large lot of beautiful old Ertl/AMT kits recently off Ebay)
This time, the shuttle from Return of the Jedi!
Pretty well complete, in that I've built it and done the weathering - however I want to put in one final feature before I attach it to a stand... engine lights! - I wonder if anyone on here could offer me some advice on how I'd go about doing this? Obviously, I've got to cut out the two engines at the back, but I don't know much about LED's etc., any pointers or recommended techniques?
..so its kinda like this...
Any help would be ace! SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE :) !!

Amongst the kits I bought from this guy was an amazing Hoth battle diorama that came with like 3 AT-AT's and bit of the Hoth base, so I'm going to put that together on a little base. Should be wikid.
I'm going a bit Star Wars mental ha. SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE :) !!

Your work hits home with me a bit because as a kid, this was one of the model kits I attempted to work on. The kit itself wasn't especially sturdy when assembled, and didn't handle well with the wings folding. I only had enamels at my disposal, and the glossiness of them didn't work well for my weathering. If I had the interest in the kit, seeing your work would inspire me to revisit it. With my interests centering around other things, I'll simply enjoy things from afar with your cool piece. You've done a great job with it |
