Well here's what he looked like before I threw him across the room.

I called myself prepping him, sanding rub areas, and bottom line is, I LOATHE this mold.

So I'll be stripping him and sanding the pure hell out of him, and repaint him over again.

I think it looks pretty good, actually. What paints did you use? I'm working on a classic seeker myself right now but haven't got enough parts painted to see where I might have to sand.

I hear ya about this mold! Worse case of rubbing ever. But all that aside, it looks great. Judging by what you have here, when you get the kinks out it should be worth the aggravation.

He looks good to me. Thanks for the heads up though. I just got an extra Acidstorm to paint into skywarp about a week ago, and was wondering about all the spots that would cause paint rub like the pegs on his inner legs among may others. Any chance you could list some of the other spots I really need to focus on?

the back of his forearms, his thighs (i'm starting from scratch, and this time I'm just going to mask his thighs, so there wont be any rubbing at all), his legs (where the fins rotate around), the small tail fins, the sides of the cockpit, and i'm also masking off the joints that move the wings and arms, they're kind of rubbery and enamel seems to rub right off.

Hmm... I'll have a better idea as to what I need to do with mine by the end of this week, but I'm using Testors enamels as well. No airbrush though, just the regular spray cans.

I actually found myself thinking if it doesn't come out looking alright I might strip it (or buy another universe starscream) and try dying the plastic. That would at least help with any rub problems.

1: I wish we had photos of the Alt mode.

2: I wish we had photos of the dent he made when he hit the wall.

I liked the colors you used, but will look forward to the redo.
