ROTF Leader Optimus Prime

I know there are already 1000 other better Primes. But he's only my 2nd custom repaint. I really liked the detail of this figure. I haven't done anything to him that hasn't already been done before. The vehicle pics are from a different figure. I used a dremel to shorten his arm panels in his robot form so his arm can bend at the elbow easier. I would like to hear any comments and criticisms anyone has.

This is really sweet! I like the detailing on the legs. Keep up the good work.

Very nicely done. The little details around the truck mode's bolts and such really help to sell it. Keep these ROTF Primes coming! (I've got one nearly done myself--post 'em if you got 'em! ).

Very good detailing for someone new to customizing.

So you cut the arm panels - making it non-transformable? I recommend that you go all the way modding the figure for movie accuracy. Mod the wheels so they sit closer to the body. Change the blue shoulder armor pads to look more like the CG model. Check out Hakka's custom non-transforming ROTF Prime.

For me, you can never have too many Prime repaints.

This one is a great piece, espcecially for your second try. Keep up the great work.

wow! for a second try at this repainting thing-- you did a great job...
I have tried repainting on 2-3 BB's and one barricade-- I am still afraid to repaint my ROTF OP :-)

Thanks. This is the first one that I did any modding. I didn't want to mess him up because I really like the figure. I saw Hakka's Prime and it's awesome. I did ask him some questions about modding the arm panels.

Thanks. I painted all of the gray areas with a base coat of flat black. Then I dry brushed over them with silver. I used Testors paint.
