Well i have been working on this for a looong time and it is about to be available to anyone interested. I ran out of silicone (and other problems) for molds so i ended up commissioning Tony of Tonyz customz to make the mold for me. Basically the set will consist of a box that fits snugly onto optimus prime and then a rocketpack that connects to the back piece via magnets. So this set is a double feature you get the back that oh hollow boy needed sense release and an episode 3 homage to his rocket pack sideswipe gave him to chase megatron.

The raw unfinished pic is the new and improved mk2. The mk2 has sharper details and panel line design on the back cover. i also improved the magnet design to hold stronger magnets

I sold several mk1s to very happy enthusiasts.

I can do preorders if a couple of people are interested i can have them out with in or less than 3 weeks probably more like 2 weeks but say 3 to be safe

yes definitely an improvement the reason for the change was people wanted a more accurate representation of primes back sense his back on the toy is much different than the show i did what i could without increasing its size. keep an eye on this thread bro i will have some samples up as soon as i get them painted.

Does anyone do a Prime back like in the Cartoons/Comics, with the curved pieces ?

 

UPDATE: The molds are on the way to me i should have them Monday or Tuesday. So possibly by Friday i will have some painted and ready for sale

 

This looks really cool. Now have to display Prime's backside.

 

OK so the molds are here and i have one jetpack ready to paint and sell i will post new pics hopefully in the next day or two. also this is just the beginning i plan on making all kinds of weapons and accessories. a few of which are alternator sized sword, toon accurate sword for grimlock, animated grimlocks chest flap cover and gundam hands.

ok guys i have one for sale contact me if you want it. i would like to sell it to one of the people that replied to my thread first but it seems to me to be rude to contact that way. first come first serve next time i have some for sale i hope to have several at one time.

also if you want a different color contact me and set it up i do not charge extra for different colors unless i have to buy a new color which is not likely i have over a hundred bottles of paint.

 

Wow that came out great. I really like the look of prime with the jetpack. I may have to get me one of these after i get my new PC . Awesome work.
