heres my classics devastator who is WIP at the mo

im looking for advice on this one because im abit stuck...i can get unicron and do the waist ect pretty easily BUT i dont wana use PRIMUS ARMS because
    1)primus is very expensive
2)i doubt i would use the rest of the body for anything

i heard theres some different arms that you can use which are LIKE primus arms but dont cost a fortune and im NOT talking about using unicrons arms because i dont wana do that because i think it just doesnt look right

anyone have any good replacement arms i can use or any advice on this?

I'm going to try these hands to see how they work on computron: The Hulk Marvel Transformers Loose Figure Hasbro Tank - eBay (item 150369731502 end time Sep-30-09 09:53:27 PDT)
Also, I saw that people are sometimes using hands from this guy: Marvel Mega Morphs Figure Series 2 Incredible Hulk Transforming Super Hero Assault-Bot Figure - Toy Biz - Collectibles Toys - Marvel MegaMorphs Action Figure at Tisinc99.com

Will Dev's arms be able to swing back and forth with the chest shield covering them? I love the size of the shield but not sure if his right arm will rotate 360 degrees. Otherwise...he's looking killer!

I hate to say anything to change that chest shield, since it is REALLY cool, but - take a look at Sixliner's chest. (looks for a pic)

OK, i fail, but here's a pic from the Resources section.
    Sixliner in package

anyway, my point is Sixliner has a SIMILARLY shaped if not exactly the same shape chest armor, but it's made in a way that lets the arms swing forward. If i were to choose between more poseable arms versus more accurate chestplate, i'd go for the arms.

The two options for arms that Moe gave were good options for Dev.

Full arm rotation is possible with this shield. I used the same chest sheild for my Dev. I've got Hook extended to give a little more room for the arms to swing. I can't tell from the pic of Hook is extended or not.

you can just find a junker primus cant you? or are they expensive two? nice chest plate but the arms wont go forward very well with it. not that its bad cause its way better than anything i could do.

Yea, you can get Primus and Unicron junkers for cheap with all of the critical parts intact. Look for common misspellings in eBay listings (e.g. Unicorn). Also, make sure to type "junker" or "lot" in your searches. I was able to score a couple at a very good price that way.

Yeah, I'd say about 40% of the junker/parts TFs I have are through ebay "lot" auctions. You can usually tell the good ones when the TFs are transformed completely wrong and have the wrong names or are described as if the seller has no idea what it is.

Thanks Moe for the MM hulk link, been trying to find a source for those, and finally was able to buy a few.

    Ebay:
The hulk arms are a very good way to go.
I just scored a megamorph hulk from a swap meet by my house for $3.
It also really depends on what you consider "expensive"
I found an extra primus in a TF lot that I spent $50 on, but I resold the other TFs that I didn't want for a net of $63....so that primus cost me -$13.

Yeah, like others have said, you can find Primus' inexpensive. I just got one here on the board for $41 total.

As for what to do with the rest of the figure... well without the arms, I have in my hands a planet Cybertron in the works. Which'll work well with my waist-less planet-eating-planet Unicron.

the arms can move fine with the shield in place. i just poped them together quickly for the pic but the arms can extend outward for mobility

can someone show me what the hulk arms look like next to the arms of devestator? i need a size comparison

$41 is a good price for a primus shipped in the US but shipped over here to the UK its like another $30-40 on top of that so like $70+ for arms is steep

i found out my friend actually has the mega morphs hulk and ive seen it in person today...there pretty crap.. as shown in the link above they need ALOT of modding for them to be used and look correctly and that seems abit to much considering the price tag on this one.

any other options as for arms that i can use?

I actually agree with Moe. I think you should try the Marvel Hulk arms:

    http://www.thetoyshop.com/media/toyshop/products/Hasbro/Transformers/Zoom/374041_HULK.jpg

These look really nice and I haven't seen a dev use them yet. They should be a lot easier to find as well.
