The other day when I was out, I saw the Indiana Jones 4 figures on clearance. I already bought one Mutt Williams figure for a Sam to go with my 2007 movie figures, but inspiration struck me when I also saw some WWE Build N' Brawlers figures as well. As a result, buffed up Sam was born.

Proportions are on the exaggerated size, but it's not like other action figure lines don't exaggerate as well.


He goes pretty well with the movie bikes.


I know Sam isn't that big, but the Mutt Williams figure looks pretty puny on it's own as well.


Also, I have been meaning to create a G1 inspired Movie Ironhide for some time, but I wanted to keep the work minimal. I have been looking around for a head for some time to no avail until today I realized that it was right under my nose. Until now, I never saw anyone use the Energon Superion head.

The most difficult part was removing the head from Storm Jet as It was in there with a rivet. Once removed, I was able to use the same screw that held Movie Ironhide's head in place.


Without Superion's Antlers, I think it bears a strong resemblance to Ironhide with the mohawk. Also, the head's color scheme seems to work well with the body's.


And in case anyone is worried, he transforms just fine with the new head.

 

Looks like Sam is gonna take a cue from the Super-Obama Jib Jab vid, and "punch a robot in the FACE!"  

 

I can't believe Bumblebee didn't stop Sam when that dealer offered him steroids!

 

I was thinking of that, but it was completely different. Like Sam was either hitting the weights or hitting the juice.



But still this custom is unique, but hey if you wanted Sam to look different then I'm cool with it, AximusPrime.

Iron hide looks pretty good with the "classics" inspired head! I never realized Stormjet had such a grim expression. Perfect for Ironhide!  


Sam is cool 'roided out!

 

Sam's a *little* buffer than I'd want (I only use those B'n'B guys for thugs), but he looks SUPER Cool on the bike, and I love the head-swap on Ironhide!

They really pop!

The Superion combiner head has a very grim expression. I'm surprised I haven't seen it used more on other Ironhide customs, not to mention that it fits like a glove.

The motorcycle shot was my favorite to take.

Thanks. I know he looks ridiculously large, but he's a fun little figure that I really enjoyed putting together. I figured that after being stalked and attacked multiple times by Decepticons and being incarcerated by the US government on at least one occasion, Sam would start getting into some kind of shape to be better prepared. 

True, but at least the next time Bumblebee gets his legs blown off, Sam can carry him on his own.

Ironhide looks perfect.... now paint him Red..  

and Sam, I think if the upper arms weren't as big that the rest of the figure would look better for scale... but this is TFs so f@#k scale!! (Awesome job  )
