I was thinking about that myself... the peg under his head is close to keeping it in place after it's pushed in, but would need some filing to match it up right... kinda doubting it's feasibility, but the closest easy fix I've thought of so far.
If you lift the panels up by hand, sometimes they stay on their own... that might be my second plan of attack...

I'm doing a video on the hinge I made for his trunk, and I'll mention the front bumper fold ins as well. I'll post it here when uploaded. : )

    ehhh

dudes, thats also featured it might not be clear with all the pictures in attachment. its done like this:

two bolts or pegs into both sides of his neck piece keep the side panels pushed up - and the chest panel pushed in
The bolts literally keep the hood pieces pushed forward. I couldnt find an easy way to do it with the chest panel but as they are all connected, the chest gets pushed in automaticly when you transform him.

hope this clears things up a bit
    happy drilling!

AH!!! Now I get it. I thought you had moved the neck hinge somehow... and those screws were the new pivot... I gotcha now... GREAT idea!!! Woot!!
I was just ready to post my vid, so I may have to make an addendum now... haha.
