Cool, I just picked up the Go-Bots (Machine Robo) bus from the 80's. I like odd alt-modes so I'll definately be looking into this one
AWESOME. I've wanted a transforming bus (not a school bus but exactly this kind of bus) for years. It looks brilliant so far. Best of luck on the development. Thanks for the preorder link, I got mine in. I'll be watching and waiting for this with much interest.
Oh man, nobody show Boris Johnston, killer bendy bus bot could give him nightmares. Great works guys, this is the kind of thing I'd like to see more of, i.e. originality and a willingness to take risks.
Interesting... this may be worth a pre-order as that's quite a cool item right there. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Citaro_G_Arriva_London.jpg To clarify those wondering the size: It's described as having a 1:87-scale alt mode. The above pic shows a bendy-bus that operates in London, and is of a similar type to Robobuz' alt mode, which at 18m in length translates to about 20cm. The video depicts the 'bot mode's height being slightly less than the alt mode's length, so this would stand at about the same height as your typical Voyager-class.
Some more clarification; The diaphragm component on the final version should be soft rubber, allowing the legs to bend properly and compressing them to look more like the concept CGI version.
Actually there are at least two chinese transforming bus toys. They are of course, less articulated then this guy. I'm wondering whether you can reveal any details about the PC Game -what'll it be like?
I'm tempted to get a couple and customise one into the local buses near where I live. Naturally, he'll be the one who always gets to battles late, but when he arrives, three of him arrive at once
