*First Post* My Leader Prime Repaint w/one new hand *Update*

I've been lurking around this board since 06, watching, learning, and getting ideas. While this isn't my first custom, I really enjoyed the way it turned out, so I decided to finally post.
I want to thank everyone on here, even though I've never spoken to any of you, for doing what you do. I really get inspired by all I see. Any and all opinions are welcome.

This is my Leader Prime. I've covered all the gray plastic, redone some of the flames, repainted most of the blue, added some details, and gave hime one new hand made from styrene. The fingers are partially articulated and it attaches the same way his original hands do. I made only one cause it took long enough to make it and I haven't decided to make the other yet. I also tried my hand at pin-striping...some turned out better than others, but over all I like it.

no, you posted it right, even using the actual attachments for the full-sized images, unlike many people who for some reason attach their pics, but then link to photobucket for the larger sizes, which is wrong.   I say nice job on the hand, that's far from an easy thing to do. Nice job on the pin-striping too. I look forward to seeing you post more often, welcome aboard!

How did you do the pin striping? I am thinking about repainting my prime and I am trying to decide if I am going to bother with pin striping or if I am even going to bother with truck parts.

I did most of the Pin-striping with this pen:

and I didn't press very hard to get a thinner line. It worked most of the time.
when it got a bit too thick I went back over with blue to cover up some of the silver. It turned out well enough, I think. Good luck with yours!

Amazing job with that hand! It's articulated AND it looks like the hand from the CGI model. Do the other one , then make casts and sell it to us!  

Very good paintwork as well. I would recommend that you go over some of the pinstripes again if you can, because some of them look too thin and a little broken (like some blue paint showing under them).

All in all, it's a great way to introduce yourself to the community. Welcome to the Radicons.

By the way, I want to thank everyone for their comments. I am currently working on photos of the truck mode, and I certainly can take a close-up of the face while I'm at it. Soon I'll also be posting my custom ROTF Voyager Megatron, who also has a new hand(I hated the one on the cannon arm)!

Great work!! What blue did you use? Did you apply it over a dark base?
