If any of you are wondering what the metal bar located around his chest is for, its there for balance. Building this guy was like playing Buckaroo at times (If any of you remember that? We had it in England!)
Anyway, enjoy!

Yeah that design was something I liked, however it has changed slightly from that already. The shape seemed quite suited to the shape of the aircraft around the body area, and the wings upright is a nice G1 reference, but as I say it has now changed. Will hopefully upload more drawings soon.
Unfortunately the Voyager class figures aren't quite to the scale I want to make this guy, in fact this time I won't be using any existing Transformer parts at all. I have a few armatures in mind for this guy, but he'll most probably be a combination of a few.
He's going to be 1:48 scale. SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE :) !!

I was being optimistic, ha. 1/48 should be a nice size though. At a rough guess I'd say he'll stand about 25cm...
Hopefully he'll have some decent articulation too - indeed, I'm planning (not 100% yet) to do a small comic with Powerglide and Shrapnel, the latter causing havoc etc. etc. It will be made with the models and photoshop/illustrator.
Hopefully it'll be a nice companion piece, and its something I've always wanted to do. SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE :) !!

The design has changed slightly from the digibashes/sketches above. The engines are now going to be on the shoulders, I may upload a drawing later.
But he looks better for it, I believe.
Also got all the needed parts/kits/bits and bobs etc., so he's well and truly under way.
I don't like showing much behind the scenes stuff, but here's a little sneak peak... SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE :) !!

As you can see, the design has changed a lot, with the engines now firmly mounted on the shoulders to bulk him out a bit. I've also tilted the cockpit down so his head can lift out.
I'm currently sculpting the head to be cast, which is why at the moment his face looks somewhat Cobra Commander.
Anyway, all is coming along nicely. SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON YOUTUBE :) !!
