Hi there. It's been a long time. First of all, I'm sorry for the quality of the pics. They're just quick shots to show you where I'm going. I have made two "shoes" for Prime so the legs look bulkier in combined mode. These "shoes" are stored in the back of Jetfire's bot mode and fill the space of the back of plane mode giving him two extra fins. I have added four little pieces to his feet resembling thrusters, and applied some paint to see how it will look once finished. I have added elbows too. The gun can be handled for any of the two, and made a nice attack mode for the plane. Still I have to add knees to OP and properly paint all of them. I hope you like it.
Looks great Paul!! I have a little LegendsMegatron in the works, we can duke it out later!! The shoes are kickin'!! (pun intended) I like the way you accurize the Legends! Also I apologize for not posting this for you. I got distracted doing other home stuff!
Thank you very much, I want to see your Megs soon. Don't worry about the posting, luckily somebody fixed the problem.
I'm not sure I understand you. I combined Jetfire with the head pointing down so the new thrusters on his feet can be used by Prime as cannons (sort of Iron Man repulsors on his hands). Is that what you mean?
The "proper" combination has the nosecone pointing down to give Prime the same turbines and wings he has in the movie. But it's no big deal to transform something into a way you prefer, so nice job on the modifications so far.
First time I read about a combination with the nose pointing down. I will try it at home for sure. If it works the thrusters can be posed as shoulder cannons. Thank you very much for your comment.
I should probably mention that it also prevents him from toppling over, since the nose of the jet effectively becomes a third leg.
I have tried the combination that Rhinox555 mentioned, and it works. To me it looks like Ground Mode, and the one with the nosecone pointing up Flying Mode. Here is two quick pics. Sorry for the flash, it was afternoon and there isn't much light. By the way, I don't know if it's worse to have the long, ehm, part rising to the sky or between the legs.
infinitely better, now. I don't know what you mean, as the fuselage is way behind him, so it doesn't look like anything promiscuous. Now he looks much much more accurate to the movie! I like those shoes, but I have to admit I'm not diggin' the foot thrusters, since that jet only has 2 thrusters, yet you've given him 4.
I made it from a lot of little pieces of plastic that I cut and glued together. Tank you, Redline. I began giving him 2 thrusters, but it was very difficult to make him stand. I had to add 2 extra little pieces at the front of the feet to help with the balance. I don't mind if it isn't 100% movie accurate, as long as it works.
Thank you very much. I use to cannibalize joints from Megablocks Pirates. I actually did it before, check my other threads clicking in my name.
