Another ROTF Devastator ** UPDATED 7-21 ** Well here is my attempt at ROTF Devestator. Im new to the boards and wanted to share this with you guys. Its rough, I havent painted it yet and havent modded it at all. http://i569.photobucket.com/albums/ss137/buckethead523/FullDev.jpg Now Demolisher(scavenger to the purists) has a lot of pegs and his treads have these holes for some reason on the outside but I dont think there used to transform him. Anyways Rampage has these pegs on his shovel/Extra legs so i wondered if they would attach and at least one side did. http://i569.photobucket.com/albums/ss137/buckethead523/RamDemPeg.jpg So then i was looking at mixmaster and how the wheel wells were so deep and Hasbro isnt known for there "Ultra Details" and then I had this Idea to put Demolishers two pegs into the wheel wells and what do you know they fit(kind of) Mixmasters wheels are a small fraction wider then Demolishrs pegs, but it does work till i can widen it out a bit. http://i569.photobucket.com/albums/ss137/buckethead523/DemandMixPeg.jpg Also Mixmasters front cab actually fits snugly in Demolishers back(the way i have him transformed any) and It also helps to support Mix's weight. As for his cannon, the pictures I have show it hanging down but I forgot to tuck it into the gap in demolisher, so ignore that if you can. http://i569.photobucket.com/albums/ss137/buckethead523/Devfrombehind.jpg You may notice Dems arms sticking out. My plan with those it to literally wrap the other two constructicons that form his arms around those. It actually has alot of articulation. The shoulders fully rotatate and the bending of the arms will workout(hopefully) As for his other leg I just bought a FAB Long Haul after reading(and seeing) that voyager Long Haul is a bit too big for the other leg. As for the face im not sure what too do yet, I might take them supreme class face and incorporate it, who knows. Sorry for the long post, but i wanted to share this with everyone who wants/wanted a fully transformable devestator to begin with. Comments and questions would be appreciated!
Long Haul IS a bit too big in relation to Rampage, but that's only because his left leg is made from two Rampage-type vehicles in the film. Liking this so far.
Oohh, thats actually pretty cool. Get another Rampage and a voyager Longhaul, then wait for the arms! And they said that we'd have ta buy the big one.. MTL

ok guys Update time!!!! So I changed things up a bit with the design of Dev. I managed to pick up a FAB Long Haul(actually a cool fig) and started messing with the transforming in the other leg. At first i thought is was a given with him having a few pegs on his cab, however there too big to fit in the other tread of demolisher. I was discouraged to say the least, but then after a few mins I realised that the tread could actually fit rather snuggly into the cab itself, no snapping or anything! So I transformed him as best i could and after setting it up I was relativley happy with it till I saw how thin dev was in the waist(Extremely thin!). So i went back to the drawning board with mixmaster. After being extremely frustrated i just stated really twisting up mixmasters body and finally it clicked with my what to do. I wrapped his legs around the "waist" of demolisher, pulled down the torso and cab to the front, and inserted the gun into the back. hes pretty solid and by changing mixmaster to how i have him now, adding the custom face will be a snap, as it will have a place to rest/snap into. Ive attached the new pics so check em out and let me know what you think. *I forgot to mention that I had to sand down Long hauls leg joints to get the legs to bend and stay all the way*
Cool concepts and use of existing pegs. The biggest question i have is....who is that lady in the photos???

I was perusing the web and came across Cybertron landmine, and was wondering if he would make a good chice for one of the arms? I just think ROTF Scrapper wont be coming out anytime soon(if it all unfortunatley) Ive already gone out and found a model crane and am preparing it for a customization into the other arm(I doubt ill make him a stand alone fig since I have no clue what his alt mode was supposed to look like)
if your looking for the face of devetator,try to use the rpms devestator set face,and see how it goes
