So.... not diggin the jets On Jetfire's back that are there while they are somehow his legs? Me neither. So, I fixed that. They can be removed now. How you may ask? Well, using the dremel(or whatever thin cutting device you have) cut a notch out of the end part on the thingy that holds his wings. But make sure you cut them just a little bit smaller than the full diameter of the hole, and at a slight angle getting smaller as it goes in. Now snap the jet back on and BOOM, make a jet, take it of, BAM... MAKE A JET WITH LESS KIBBLE!!! Also, just unscrew the arm kibble and it can snap on and off. I know that might not be how some of you like it, but I like the accuracy to be somewhat there So now time for LED goodness I hope this can help someone!! INCASE YOU CAN NOT SEE IT, THE FRONTAL PICTURE OF JETFIRE HAS THE NOTCH CUT OUT ON THE LEFT( our right) SIDE OF THE "JET HOLDER"
Black? He is not skids or mudflap. I AM JUST KIDDIN EVERYONE!!!! Where do you think I should add more black?
OOOOOOOOOHHH! watch it encline heheheheh.dats almost like saying "boyyyyyy!" errr, anyways,, try the back kibble, the body looks okay,. now, for those LEDs....
I like it, should make a tutorial on it! Hell, if you do this to jetfire, you can just get another prime and use the parts to make PUP without buying a second jf! lol.
Kibble is anything that is not the core robot form. Wings, wheels, doors, armour plates, non-removable weapons, backpacks: all kibble. It's not a bad term, just a fan word to describe these parts in general. In vehicle forms, kibble also means robot parts thet stick off of the vehicle. On jets it's usually the underside. Also, I want this. I hope my Leader Jetfire turns out as good.
There you go!!! In all seriousness, it looks great, bro. I hope this is indicative of the plans that you have for your Power up Prime, I know it's coming.
yes!!! this mod has been running around in my head for the longest time!!! thank you!!! but im still on the edge about cutting and what not. i think ill just unscrew and screw it in everytime. but first, i have to get a leader jetfire -_-; lol. -rikkuluverx2
That is a much better explanation HAHA!!! I was hopin you would comment...."yo".. Thanks bro!!! Power up prime? what ever do mean? It is just a lot quicker than unscrewing the jets, but you only get one shot at fixing/or screwing up a $49.00 toy
Brilliant! I just got into painting my figures a bit. I must ask... how do you paint your figures? Is it by hand with a brush? Sorry for being nosy, I would in all honesty, just like to better my custom painting skills. Any advice is appreciated.
I am new at customizing my figures with paints. I really have no idea where to start or how best to learn. I usually only do it to add little details, or if Hasbro severly fucks up a character by not painting/coloring him correctly. In this case, most of the ROTF line haha, especially Jetfire. I'm so scared I am going to ruin a good figure. I think I am going to make ROTF Breakaway my guinea pig, any paint scheme would be an improvement over the one he has. Btw your customs look awesome. The paint is top-notch. haha...I have not yet found a Jetfire. But I already know he will require some painting. That dull grayish/blue plastic is not going to cut it.
