For some reason I've been on a bit of a kick for Fembots recently. Therefore, I decided to go with an easy one and make Glyph out of Henkei Bumblebee. I painted her with cobalt blue acrylic paint. I also sculpted on a G1 Bumblebee toy based faced since that's what the original Glyph toy used and colored it with a Pilot Gold Marker. I want to tackle Tap-Out next. However, I'm seriously considering Legends 'Bee for that one because lets face it: little tough guys are fun.
Constructive feedback -> Maybe for your next fig, you can paint the inside parts that show in bot mode black? What do you think?
FYI, if you ever wanted to strip the Gold or regular chrome off of anything, use Easy Off over cleaner, takes the chrome right off and doesn't hurt plastic at all. also, on a fig like that you may consider either tinting or painting the headlights, good try and the concept is executed decently, but like Comp5 stated, paint the whole figure, anything that shows, you could paint the inner bot black to accent and offset the Blue or paint it all one color, choice is yours and also unlimited to what you can do. A for effort & concept.
I appreciate the feedback. I really do. However, the truth is I like the yellow and the gold chrome. I think it gives her more character than just a uniform color. Still, thanks for the feedback. Female Anyway, thanks for looking and reviewing everyone.
Oh, I dunno, looks pretty spot on for Glyph to me. She is supposed to be a repaint of Bumblebee, after all. If they made a Classics Glyph, that's what she'd look like, no doubt.
You should def do Tap-Out next! I love the little guy. Here's mine form a loooong time back. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...4057-maybe-my-last-cl-bb-repaint-tap-out.html
Glad to contribute. If I were making customs for the sake of your entertainment I would totally be concerned. I was initially thinking about using Legends Bumblebee for Tap-Out, but seeing your custom makes me want to try it out with a Classics Cliffjumper figure after all. Eh, no more for a while except maybe Tap-Out. I'll be moving in a few weeks so it's going to be rather difficult to sit down and paint anything.
