I thought, 'what was wrong with Swipe's arm that he needed to build a new one, and why only one'.
I was expecting to see a Swipe with a giant left arm with some cannon strapped to it.

BTW I like the detailing in Robot mode. Nice work on the Corvette emblem, I wish mine were accurate. Not much for the 'dirty' look in Vehicle mode though. It looks more splash painted than splashed with mud and I'm not sold on how he would get scratches in those places.

I must agree with this, black spots don't really feel like dirt to me. I think some very slightly-thinned brown paints mixed together would give a better result.

Hey thanks for the comments and critiques guys. The swords had to be enlarged to cover the original arm blade panels. I tried to figure out a way to detach those and glue them back on to the car shell like I did the foot coverings but it just wasn't happening. The panels would stick out on his back and look crappy if I cut them at the breaks on the hinges. The arm blades were originally going to be the size of the inner blade panel but for this reason had to be expanded to larger size. If anyone does a mod where they can remove the door panels and have them look good back on the car shell, let me know, that's what I want.

That light copper color was made by mixing Testors Steel with Games Workshop's Dwarf Bronze.

He stands just fine with the hellspurs tilted down in the back. I love the foot mod, thanks to whoever posted it!

I didn't do any mud splatters on SS, it's all just oil splatters and oil streaks this time since I figure he'd be on the road more than the dirt in his alt mode. But good looking out, I'll add brown mud to the black splatters for future vehicles.

Overall the bot mode looks great! As has been said said, the blades are too big, but you have justified the reasoning behind it. I can live with bigger blades. I personally like my alt modes shiny and pristine though, not dirty.

I have a blade mod I'm working on that lights up, with no add on parts. It's coming along nicely! I'll post it when done for everybody.

Light-up blades?? I cannot wait! And hmmm, I wonder if the ones I made here would fit the Human Alliance Sideswipe too...
