What the title says. I'm gonna try to either replicate the scene where SoundWave takes over an orbiting satellite, or make my OWN scene with him taking over a space station. Either way he will also have tentacles like in the movie. Enjoy

Meh, actualy we're not really competing. yours is the takeover scene. MINE's is the part were Soundwave gets bored from doing his "deskjob" and gives NASA a surprise. its funny how your being so modest as to telling me ill win. we both know yours will rock harder. hey how about some preview pics from you?

Ha Ha !! Soundwave has lots of free time in space! He's just getting his kicks by terrorizing astronauts! LOL I love it! 

I'm waiting on some supplies in the mail, as of now all can offer is some boring pics of Soundwave all disassembled! LOL Should have a WIP up next week!

What's your angle gonna be on paint? I'm a little torn, the ones I've seen painted tend to have more blue than he did in he movie, but I like that as well.

I'm painting Soundwave as he is shown online by his CGI render. the "5 limbs" are black/silver/blue, and his torso is black/silver and maybe soon also be gun metal. I'm not sure if I'll paint the space station. but maybe I'll "metalize" the solar panels. now, let us resume our DUEL!

I love it how it seems like more people are making dioramas or scenes this time around. What tha means is the diorama category at botcon next year will be fierce!   Some great stuff out there, yours included! look forward to seeing more.

I might give my Soundwave some tentacles that are tough enough to keep him "flying" in sattelite-thing mode.

HAHA again with the rape word. yeah i didnt think about that, but if I reinforce the tentacles, Soundwave might not become transformable.

 

I ment like bendy tentacles, strong enough to keep him up. Though i'd make them detachable probably, as they'd be a display stand for me, not an actual part of the figure.

I think detachable tentacles is the best way. Then if you want to pose him in bot mode his balance will remain intact. For the record, I'm using some Dr. Octopus tentacles from Spiderman 2 toyline. Modded, of course, I needed something mechanical looking, but hollow. 

For the satellite, I went with the obvious choice. 

 

sigh.....lol. anyways yeah dat'll probably be the goal. and the satellite already has a stand, though kinda weak. I hope I see more people try this, i'll be in no way jealous and would like to see how experts would put their touch in this idea

hey Hanky, what satellite are you gonna use, if u dont mind me asking? as for tentacles, I might use the McFarlane The Matrix Sentinel toy. it had a lot of slimmer, more tech like look in its tentacles, i think. IF I can get my hands on one. though I'm thinking right now that the Doc Oc's are hollow right? hmmm maybe I'll try those too.

 

Yes Dr. O's tentacles are hollow, they are a bit thick but I need to use them as conduit. I'll be running wires and such through them. The obvious satellite: Burger King's Seeking Soundwave! Perfect scale, and I can fit my processor chips and batteries inside! BooYah

I havent seen it yet, Ill check it out... I've been looking online for satellite models but they cost $250.00+ so I bought this one for $12 bux. BTW, what are those pipe cleanin...HAHAHAHA I just named them, DAMN IM dumb... Maybe I'll try some Pipe Cleaners for Tentacle reinforcement. are gonna add LEDs btw? if so damn you...
