Well I am a little surprised I didn't see too many of this set get done. But I figured I would tackle it, and kick the living sh#@ outta it. Beings these two are brothers of a sorts, they share the same mold. I just resculpted the Sunstreaker head a little, just like he had a different head in
G1. Also went with a different paint idea, instead of the "regular" paint. Don't know if you can tell or not with the pics. They were first painted with Chrome silver and dry brushed with Pewter, and then a light airbrush of Alclad II chrome. The Sideswipe was painted clear red for that "Candy apple" look. Sunstreaker was done the same way, then painted with clear sunshine. He came out a little darker than I thought, but I still like it. Then they both got some black, gun metal, chrome silver, silver, gold, bronze, and copper. The inner parts were then airbrushed with clear smoke. The only thing that sucked about painting these were the many hours of sanding them down.
Oh yeah I have a crapload more pics, and am in the works of a website of my own. MacrossFA19.com (yeah baby!)
