We all know that ROTF Sideswipe isn't the most posable character due to his rollerblade-feet thing. Here's a simple solution to make the figure much more balanced. (I'm sure I'm not the only who figured this out, though) Pro's: No mods required Con's: None. Yeah you transform his feet different, but you don't have to worry about movie-accuracy, since the movie-Sideswipe didn't have feet at all. Solution: Transform his heels into his toes, and then level it with the wheel. Voila, solid foot.
Yeah, it looks better to, not like he's wearing our trademark wooden shoes. I never looked at the instructions and transformed him like this in the first place. I always wondered why people were nagging about his balance, 'till I saw a picture of a custom with the feet the 'proper' way, and I was like 'Oh..'.
That's how I transformed his feet when I first got him. His "toes" just look weird pointing outward. Pointing backwards looks better. Kind of like winged shoes like Hermes.
I tell ya what!!! I have NEVER done it with the front corners as toe's! mine actually didnt transform that way without actually having to forcefully "click" it past a corner of the hinge joint as if it wasnt supposed to go that way! AND YES i found it also stants well the way you have it(and I) but whats with the glued up joint! i have customed mine and glued the front corners of the car back ON the body sections and while doing so have found the gled up joint NOT to have been a working joint anyway!?!?!?!?!??! its just like a design fault that they had to fix last second! BTW glueing the front corner on douse NOT change transformation and it also dousnt REALLY make him anymore SHELLformer! i also glues and choppes the door tops to now be one smooth top panel! AND glued the roof section to the rear glass BUT thats a longer story as i had to cut glue and reinforce !!!! I'l do a thread on my mods as soon as the paints done!
