if you mean the waist/stomach guard that wraps around prime its totally useless for jetfire. hangs behind him in robot mode and pretty much becomes a pain in the ass to fit together in jet mode

Any reason for that? I just only upload one so It doesn't take me an hour to post a thread. but I guess I'll upload them all from now on.

Looking great man.
The feet will be plenty big enough, just add some kibble to make them broader and you're golden.
Personally I would go with a SR-71 model kit as you already have the turbines handled.
$50 for basic kibble and wings is a bit pricey...especially if you actually want a JF figure to display, then you're at $100.
Good luck. You're making me want to make a movie accurate PU Prime myself.

Hey guys, what do you think would be closer in scale

this 1/48 scale Blackbird
SR-71 Blackbird 1/48 Kit Models and Kits

Or this 1/72

SR-71A Blackbird 1/72 Kit Models and Kits

I'm guessing the 1/48 will be too big, but who knows, maybe it's perfect, I just don't want to get one and the shoulderpads and wings be too small or too big.

I got a revell model kit for this purpose as well. I plan to build a non-transforming "accurate" version as well. It's a 1:72 scale blackbird, slightly smaller than Leader Jetfire, will work well.

I'm looking at the 1/48th scale myself.
The engine are out of scale with the nose in the concept art.
But the 1/32 anakin's podracer model has 7 inch engines...perfect. Or close enough.

The model kit is just going to be cut into little black pieces anyway.
I went through my storage toys for kitbashing supplies...Old Spawn figures are going to look amazing on this.

I am going to make it so the power up parts can all be removed. So I don't have to buy an extra prime.

I had to cut my podracer turbines, they were a bit too long, I cut about 2 inches off.

Thanks for the advice FR I'm sure yours will be super amazing.
