Love the model, Mako - I reckon we've all come to the conclusion that 3D printing a full-scale, fully-articulated Transformer is just too damn costly...for now. But regardless, can't wait to see the results!
that model looks really sweet! I actually like the more robotic look to it, other than for the car mode.
Are you using software to spit out the "Unfolded" parts? You mentioned that you were printing them, so I assume so. What are you using, if you don't mind sharing, I've been looking for a good 3D-paper-model solution for years D/L
there's a software called 'pepakura designer' that's wonderful for making papercraft patterns from 3d models. you can define the seams, it adds the little tab things to glue to, and it supports textures
That's really sick bro! I've been told that there will be a free sample for your old buddy here. Bem loko issaê seu pilantra, espero que chegue logo porque vou querer comprar uma!
Can't wait to see how she turns out, Mako - I've really been looking forward to seeing your work translated into printed loveliness.
Wow - that is really beautifully done. I concur, it looks like it's got the potential to be the best Arcee fig to date. I love the modelled rubsign on the bonnet!
No way, man, I'm still really keen to see how yours turns out. The fact that there are so many nice Arcee's out there in the Radicon fandom just shows how much pressure Hasbro/TakaraTomy are under to get theirs right. The fans will vote with their wallets.
Though admittedly, most of those fandom Arcees aren't going to be mass-produced (by which I mean "in numbers greater than one" ). What perturbs me a bit is that there are fans like Mako and Budokhan who voted with their wallets and paid silly prices for a 3rd party Arcee, and then still had to do a crapton of work to make anything they were happy with...
Awesome update. I'd be interesting in getting these parts and updating my A.R.C. at some point as well
