the beastmode's looking mighty IDW-ish. this is why i liked the cybertron BW megs toy, since the beastmode looks so much like a techno-organic T-rex. this is what i have so far, not really confident the bot mode will resemble grimlock though... now looking for a spare overkill head.
dude before i even clicked on this thread i saw the thumbnail and thought idw grimlock. he looks fantastic! get the bot bot mode done pleazzzzzzzz
well, here's some updated shots.. i'm still iffy about the bot mode but i really love how the beast mode turned out.
The dino mode is awesome. You know this could be an alternate universe Grimlock or a future Grimlock, if that made sense. Because I think it'll be like an ungrade.
The alt-mode for this Megatron has always been my favorite dino-bot, and seeing it painted as Grimlock really brings out the details and bio-mechanical feel of the figure. Well done! All it needs is a 'Maximum Dinobots' sign in it's jaws.
I still have a tough time seeing Grimlock out of that mold, despite the obvious fact that it is a t-rex. It just has too much of Megatron's personality. Good paint job though. It does bring out the detailing nicely.
yeah, tell me about it, but still it was worth a try. i've got some balsa wood handy, i'll make an accessory for him. thanks for the idea! well, that's what i was thinking as well, since i'll be using him in my funnies and i already featured classics grimlock there. glad you're liking it so far. yup! he'll be appearing within the next week, provided i can get the head done quickly.
