TWISTY TIES!
Now these little demons finally have a use, however, aside from just getting the poseability and look of the hands, I dont know what else to do to them to make them look more like his hands in the movies, perhaps just gluing plastic bits to them? Advice is welcome.
Second off...The murder arm!
I pretty much just dismantled his existing his arm and re aranged it to be more accurate to the movie, I plan on making that elbow joint shorter so that the claw can be further up, but this is still a WIP
He still retains his alt mode, as the canon that used to be his arm can now be attached to his arm in robot mode, or held in one of his twisty tie hands.
I also plan on doing something to his head, putting it on a ball joint and maybe lifting it alot higher from his chest. We'll see
And I never posted it, but heres what I did to TFTM Megatron, he can't transform, but he's much better than a giant backback with legs.
sorry for the dark pics.
Advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks much. |

Collection Count: Are we talkin' assembled or piece count? | Nice "outside the box" thinking on the twisty hands! Perhaps you could expand the idea by sleeving them in styrene round or square tube stock, giving them a bit more substance while retaining the beneficial articulation of the wire. Overall it looks great! Love the mods!
Awesome sig made by Nemesis Predaking! Thanks my man!

So, the head on this megatron isn't really that accurate, while you can tell who it is, it's missing a certain something.
To me it seems too narrow, the ROTF megatron is pretty much the head from the first movie, Except with a new addition to his helmet, cheek gaurd like things that round off his head.
(Like in this pic)
So, I decided to pry open the head, and take those side panels and put them at an angle, and Bam, they look pretty damn nice.
Sorry for the horrible pic, my camera sucks, I'll try to take better pictures for the completed one, just examine it best you can >_>
Right now the head is just resting there, Ima wait until tommorow to put a ball joint on there, also the light piping that was once obscured by the electronics is now open for light, so his eyes usually glow red.
Also something of note is that I've beefed up the gimp arm by...going by the Bio of leader megatron, rebuilt him from dead decepticons! Random pieces of Protoform starscream were used to try to bulk up the arm, while that part on top looks silly, it adds a bit more to the arm, and trust me, that arm needed it!
After the ball joing I'll begin my final paint onto him and hopefully he will be finished!
Advice again would be great. |

If you can keep it up this will probably be the best Leader Megatron custom I have seen! I love the rust detailing on the knees and that murder-arm is absolutely gorgeous! You're making me want to start customizing my Megatron!
Try applying more of the rust detailing to the same extent you have done on the knees to the other main chunks of the figure such as the shoulders, murder-arm and his neck area. As it is, those awesome knees do stand out (yeah I know that it's still a WIP).
Have you thought about using Leader Brawl's hands/fingers. Quote: |

(It's a weird process, but I just dab paint onto megatron and it gives him a "rusty" texture throughout, , pretty bumpy)
As for paints?
Walmart brand acrylics! and a silver krylon paint pen. |
