Not sure if this would have been under Heavy or Minor as I revamped the entire body with ball joints and changed some internals yet after that was done just lots of painting. . . . Heres my second Chop Shop! Head to toe he stands 5" tall and as stated comes fully jointed for those action poses you so want to make him do! The base body was a transfrming Beetle I found at a Dollar store that was actually pretty high quality. The original mode of this guys was very stagnat and had little artic so I solved that with some moddifications that lets him move and transform better. I used a Scrapmetal head for Choppy since it had a bugish feel to it and made the gun fromrandom fodder. I plan on doing 2 more of the Deluxe Insecticons so look for them soon!
Looks excellent!! The only deluxe Insecticon I had as a kid was Barrage, so he gets my vote for one of the others! Again, great work!
im not familiar with this mold..which figure this from?i see this mold potential to be sharpnel...a little adjustment at horn and bot chest..deluxe size classic sharpnel mybe...however very good custom and clean on paint job too..
Kick ASS. I really really like seeing guys like this get updated. Everyone can do Kickback or Bombshell, but nobody does Venom or Chop Shop (which is a shame, Chop Shop is a GREAT character.)
He's always been my favorite of the deluxe Insecticons, and you did the character justice. I just picked up a G1 Chopshop on the cheap (lost my original so many ages ago) and was planning on upgrading it. This just makes me want to do it all the more.
My G1 Chop Shop has seen better days (missing half a mandible). I finally found him in a box mom had in the attic. Might be a good one to try something like this to jump into the radicon waters.
