IDW JAZZ is here!!!

Sorry the pics are fuzzy...camera's a piece of crap.

He's still not a 100% but this is the first custom I've been able to work on since my shoulder surgery and I just couldn't wait to get him up.I still have to put the decals on him(which is in the mail)and I need to replace the head with another. As soon as F_R sends that out then he'll be finished.

Thanks to Nemesis Predaking for sharing his paint techniques which made a huge difference in my painting skills.

So here's my version of IDW JAZZ.Hope you guys like him

I'm really diggin' this. I like the flat colors, very reminiscent of comic illustrations. He is going to look even more sick with that head from F_R. That is such a good sculpt of Jazz's head.

You should loose the massive spoiler, to make him look more like the comic. Very nice and clean so far.

Funny thing is when I started this I had the spoilers off.But after my surgery I was pumped up to finish him and not even thinking about it I put them back on.Glad you noticed that.Luckily it's an easy fix.

I just cut the fender into two pieces then glued the front piece to his chest.Look at the car pics and you can see the cut mark right behind the front lights.

So it is. D'oh!!! I'll do that on mine I think but I'll keep the wings, they're quintessentially Jazz IMO

Slick work with the doors and chest area. Very nice.

The G1 toy fanatic in me really wants to keep Jazz with door wings, like god (or Takara) made him... but that sleeker wingless silhouette popularized by the cartoon has seduced me over the years, and I think this custom captures that appeal perfectly. Good job. I think I have to try this now.
