I decided to use Marvel/ TF Crossovers Captain America as the base for this custom since it looks like the appropriate vehicle for an earth version of Roadbuster. He'll be using Universe Treadbolt's helmet as a head, which will feature an LED and will be armed to the teeth while boasting his green, orange, and brown color scheme.
I've uploaded some pics of the figure with its proposed new head for starters.
Hope you enjoy these sample pics.
(And Revoltech Jazz is almost finished). |

I'm not sure about the head choice... it seems a bit large, which will make it seem like Roadbuster has almost childlike proportions.
Otherwise, it might be tough to find something just right. The head I'm using is pretty small, and it came from a dollar store bot.
In any case, I'm sure you'll finish yours first.

Figured I'd share them here rather than start a new thread for them. Hope they provide some ideas for all. I was surprised how well this figure matches the Roadbuster concept.

One question though, what is the head that you used SMOG it looks really sharp/more G1ish (well, if you add those ear things/blobs on the sides of his head)? |

It's the head from some dollar store KO bot. I believe it was from a helicopter that is supposed to combine with a jet to make a crude robot. It's cheap junk, and I had to remove a thick layer of chrome from the head, but it has the right "generic mecha" style for Roadbuster. The problem is I'm not sure if it would be easy to find one still...I haven't seen one of these in a store in ages.
The Universe Jetifire/Treadshot head is not a bad match, but I'm concerned that it might be too large for the mold. Of course, I also just like robots with small heads anyway.

It's actually just a net-like pattern that looks almost like it could be some kind of camouflage texture or something. I would almost be tempted to leave it, if it takes the paint well.
