I can't wait to see this painted up. I never get tired of seeing different takes on Devastator ("similar" to others or not). |

I know I won't need complete toys for Armada Unicron, Cybertron Primus, and Supreme Starscream. Can you be more specific about the parts that I need from those figures to use towards this project? I see that I need Unicron's Torso, Primus' Arms, and Starscream's Head. Is there anything else I'm missing? | Unicron's waist, thighs, and knees.
Primus' arms up to the bicep (I think, this is the one part I haven't gotten yet.)
Starscream's head is all you need. I'd suggest shooting Ptitvite a PM for one of his head molds. Save you some money on this project.
I'm going to say though that the NeoShifter joints are completely optional. Personally, I'm not using them. I did buy a set for this project, but after some thought I want to go a different direction with the joints used.
Good luck though. It's pretty ambitious for this to be your first kitbash, but certainly a good one to go with.
As for zfreake, like many others, I can't wait to see the rest of this painted. Current Radicons Project(s): Arcee, Combaticons, Stunticons, Constructicons/Devastator WA St. Sightings wants: RotF Voyager Bludgeon I draw stuff! Latest Update: A long, long time ago... I sell my stuff too! And I have Feedback! |

This custom looks simple enough after seeing it done over and over again! It looks like a fun project to put together. The only thing I think I'll really have a problem with is painting, but I'll cross that bridge when I get there! I'm curious though on what you chose for the connections instead of using the NeoShifter joints.
Are there specific NeoShifter joints I should look for or can I just buy any NeoShifter toy and use those joints?
zfreakye, you look like you're off to a great start so far. good luck with painting the rest of the figure. It'll probably turn out great considering what you've shown already with the arm. Feedback Thread |

Are there specific NeoShifter joints I should look for or can I just buy any NeoShifter toy and use those joints? | I was thinking of saving it for when I got my own thread going, but why not.
I bought a TRU Movie 1 Mudflap for the crane part for an Inferno-to-Grapple mod. But after seeing someone else's thread, I nixxed Grapple and want to go elsewhere with the Inferno mold.
So I'm stuck with a Mudflap. That comes with a bunch of ratcheting joints. I've started to paint and am seeing some problems with the paint jobs....trying to trial and error with different combinations of paint...progress is rather slow but nevertheless, it's still going forward!
For the joints, i just bought any neo shifter...the joints are generally the same...(male and female pegs)...

The black and darker purple for the gestault pieces is ill too. Are you planning to include a crane/hook piece for his shoulders? |
