I just use water but wash them very regularly. You might try some thinner of some sort? You can probably get some acrylic thinner in a hobby store.

What he said. Surprized they didn't do this obvious homage, wish they would. Your's looks fantastic.

Exactly, it should do. As I said, I tend to wash my brush every two or three dips into the pot. Keeps 'em OK!

I'd have to agree with you, man. I can't believe with the usages of the Cybertron repaints in the Classics/Universe line that we've not seen this one, both as Scorponok and Black Zarak (though I know we got the "Dark Scorponok", but we all know that ain't the same!). Great work, and thanks for the gallery submission; we're glad to host it!

Very nice paint job. Have you had any problems with paint chipping off those ratcheting joints in the "tail"? If so, did you do anything to overcome that (clear coat maybe?)

As for constructive crits, the pics bring out tiny spots you may have missed (always happens when I photograph my customs) and I know maybe those aren't visible to the naked eye, but you could use them as reference to go back and touch-up those little imperfections. I think that'll make your awesome paint job even better.
