    WIP 3

Painting is nearly complete. Just giving the paintwork done to this point a few days to dry and set completely.

Got some great custom sized Barricade labels from Reprolabels. Work like a charm. Very happy with how they came out. I'll definitely be calling on them again for future projects. If you haven't used them, give them a try.

The head is almost finished too. Just a little more cleanup and it should be ready to go to final paint.

The only fabricating left to do during final assembly are the door window "wings" and the "911" forearm plates.

Thanks for taking a look and for any comments you might like to share.

    Thanks, PK.

BTW, I haven't forgotten you.  I was able to get some of the painting in on Barricade while I was waiting for a few items for your project.

If you like, I'll email you an update pic. Let me know.

    The dreaded question. :)

I could be wrong...but this looks like it can't

Tim... unless you found an awesome trick, I could never make one of my super detailed movie figures transform.

By the way... this is fantastic

Yeah, no way this transforms. LOL.

Hasbro, Takara & Nasa might have trouble producing a true movie accurate transforming bot toy. There hasn't been one yet. I can't imagine how it could be done in a cost effective way.

I guess one trick would be to drop it on the floor and glue it back together in vehicle mode. All the parts are there. Oh, wait. That would make it a "partsformer". Never mind...

    I'll try harder next time.

BTW, thanks ecline. Your customs are always a pleasure to check out. You and I have a shared interest in the larger scale non-transforming replica type customs, so it's always nice to hear from you.

    Sorry.

It was hard enough to get the bot mode to look even close to the actual design in terms of parts placement and scale and at least get working police lights in it.

I have a bunch more of these planned (movie & G1 styled), so I hope I don't bum you out too much. They're a lot of fun and pretty challenging. Give it a try. You might like it.

I do have a few transformable customs and repaints in the works if that helps.

This looks stellar. It's a shame it can't transform, but it'll still be an awesome piece :thumb
