HA! **Shakes fist at KUSANAGI** You beat me to the post my friend! It seems that more than a few of us see ol' bird brain in Classics Ravage, here is my take so far! Removed and flipped the head over, then repinned it in. Also I went ahead and cut off the lower jaw. He does indeed look very bird like! Added a bit of range to the back legs, where they pin into the body. Modded the front legs a bit to be more bird like, and added some feet from the Real Gear Booster figure (Glad I stocked up!). As of these pics, the feet are just pressure fit. I will pin them in when I am satisfied with the cassette mode. Yes, he can still be a cassette, but the bird feet are impeding as of now. That's pretty much it, I love Kusanagi's take, with the backpack and weapons, great job on that bro! I will maybe add the backpack and weapons, not sure, but I still need to clean it up and paint it. Y'know, as sort of a final thought, I believe Has/Tak engineers had this alternate transformation in mind, to expand on the Classics cassettes in the future. This mod seems very natural and logical to me, so maybe it was planned! Enjoy! ----BH
That looks great, dude. And yours transforms back better. LOL After seeing this, I think I can work better talons out of the forelegs now. Thanks. And yeah, the conversion from Ravage to Laserbeak is just so easy and natural that you can easily expect something like this planned from HasTak.
I like this one a bit more than Kusanagi's one (don't get me wrong, it's fantastic too). Waiting to see the transformation to cassette.
I wish the wings sat farther forward. hmm... Are you going to add some balljoints to the head and neck to give it poseability too? It looks like the wings can move up and down (I've not had time to try it myself yet), and your new legs move good, so the head would be the only area left to address articulation-wise. If that's true, then the wing placement is the only thing that I'd want to try to see if it could be enhanced. I really want to do something like this myself.
I am not sure what inspired you to do this from a Ravage, but it's fun watching it actually turn out! Very clever.
Yes! But the feet are still in the way a bit. Working on that! Me too! See Above! ^^ Transformers: More than meets the eye! Thanks bro! I have taken on a new job, but am still working for myself doing the art shows. Not much free time anymore, but it's settling down into a routine now, so I'll be back full force shortly! I do have an idea for the wings, I'm thinking of making the mounting hole a groove so the wings can slide forward more. Sliding them forward might enhance the triangle section that makes the "tail" too. Help define it more! Will check out the possibility tonight! And yes, they do have up and down "flapping" motion! The head definitely needs a ball joint or at the very least a simple pivot joint, that's on the "must do" list! Yours is better than mine IMO! I think if you add the real gear feet you'll have an unbeatable Condor-cassette! True! Once you fiddle with it, it's just so obvious! Thanks for the kind words and suggestions guys! It always means a lot! So, do ya think RatBat is hiding in there too somewhere?
