Very nice mike. I think it might be the photos though, but he doesn't look all that shiny to me. Also like you said you can't see the metal flake in the photo too. But still an amazing job.

See, I would never do that because then I'd be afraid to TF it ever again. I go to extreme pains to prep a figure for painting, so that it's not even an issue, yet for whatever reason (I'm guessing just because of the work I put into it) I still end up not really ever TFing my customs, unless they're just touched-up or something really minor like that.

This figure had little to no rubbing issues. Even where there were, I hit with the dremel and prepped properly. I've transformed him several times and the paint's still not cured, but there is zero rubbing. I think the prep time really depends on the figure.

:lol  I am when it comes to my customs! Honestly, the only ones I ever really play with are the ones that were dyed, like the scrapmetals ones, or my legends customs.

That's great to hear, mike, as I have Grapple and Hotspot on my to-do list:)

Sweetness man, love the sheen the paint gives off. Though I think you should diffuse your lights a bit more to get rid of the glare a bit.

I'm debating a way to show the glossiness better. I think I will have to do one of my flash 360 rotating gizmos for this.

If you do all white and diffuse it, it should show it off way better. Might help show the flakes in the paint too.

When you said you completed this in only three days, I was like wow, the paint is still fresh for you to be transforming him. Anyway, Are you really using Testors enamel? Or Tamiya enamel? Looks too clean to be Testors. Also, what do you use for thinning?

I mean white background. It will help make the shine fully visible, the black absorbs the light so it is not helping you get the look you want to show. You need to diffuse your lights better or play with your f-stop on you camera because of the amount of glare the front of the truck has in all the pictures as well. Pull the lights back a bit maybe to help and lower the iso and increase the shutter speed(if you can't control these because of the camera type the sports setting can do it automatically.) Let me know if that helps or email me.

Dear God!! You are like a machine! Only 3 hours, then let me guess, after that you proceed to work on your commissions for the next 18 or so hours. Alright man, you seriously need to sleep :)

Honestly, I am on transformers from 7 am until about 10 pm daily. EVERY day. I took an hour break today and played guitar hero, I felt guilty though.

You can't fight it when you're in the zone. What really is the pits is when you're in the zone, and you have to put things on hold.

I agree with your statements. It is like the saying, "Strike the metal while it's still hot"...
