Superion_V1 - WIP 20% Complete

I've been working on a few projects lately. Two of which are actually Superions. The fist version is more of my interpretation and the later being a G1 homage.

I was a huge Mazinger Z fan growing up so I always wished Superion had the big ol Mazinger Z wings. To me it made sense that he should. So here is an early WIP of my V1 Superion with the Mazinger Z type wings. The main difference with this version is Silverbolt. I'm actually using Wingblade? Or is Wingsaber? I actually think he makes a decent Silverbolt and I like the fact that he combines with Cybertron Prime.

For this version I will be using all Seekers for the limbs. However I got a special mod for the arms that I've been working on

Once again, this is a very early WIP. I haven't completed moding the head yet, still need to add the visor and such. The hips and upper thighs are not complete either. Once I'm done, hopefully you won't be able to tell that it was a Unicron Part.

Hehe. I love it! The chest looks great. Cant even tell like it's part of a combiner.

And the fact that I'm gonna get to play with him first hand..OOh yeah! Cant wait to see him completed!!!

are you going to use primus's forearms?

I don't think there will be a need for Primus forearms with this one. I'll use the hands though. I was actually toying around with the idea of adding a "Rocket Punch" function...hahaha..I don't know...might be cool, might not be.

Looking good my friend. Depending on where you make the connection on the seeker, if you put it in the chest area like mine were, you may need to lower the torso. If you put it a little higher like ThyVipera had, your proportions will look pretty good. Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do. Any idea how you'll be addressing the seekers on V1(reshelling or just modding)? Any color Schemes picked out yet?

I'll go the route of modding with a slight re-shell for the seekers on this V1 Superion. For my 2nd one, I'm going all out re-shell.

Funny you mention color schemes. This is actually going to be a collaboration piece with Shabby. So for all the Radicons who ever wanted to see her metallic paint apps on a combiner - the day will soon come.

awesome, that's crazy ironic. i PM'd sabby the other night, asking her if I sent a combiner to her, would she splash her metallic skills on it.

Wow... I REALLY like the way this is heading already. I often thought Wing Blade had Silverbolt potential (even his head, minus the stacks on the sides). I also agree that Superion should really have some kind of wings.
