I'm retarded... I didn't even think to test out the combined mode!!! Gaaaah! Quote:

Maybe if there are any removable pieces, we could incorporate the giant AXE into that part? Broadside needs his axe! Quote: |
as for the head couldn't you cut in half the Jetfire mask and just mesh it (The front of the mask) to the Tidalwave face?
| Absolutely! I was planning on doing that, and keeping those neat rocket launchers on Tidal Wave's ears.
However, I would definitely have to add some new jointing there. Having a full range of motion on the head is essential. As you can see from the pics, he looks awesome with that "looking down on you" tilt to his head... which wouldn't be possible with the Tidal Wave head. Quote:

I still see Tidal Wave on Ebay pretty regularly, complete or in parts. Heck, that's how I ended up with THREE Tidal Waves. They were all from Ebay, as parts of lots and stuff.
Though, Ebay being what it is, I'd check the sale threads here on TFW2005... I've always had very good dealings with people here, to the point that I don't use Ebay nearly as much anymore.

zmog | There is a problem: I'm living in Mexico and the postal service here is, well, how can I say it, very untrustworthy. I'm moving back to Europe next year, so I'll see then. Man, corruption sucks.
By the way, have I said that your custom is F$&%$ AMAZING!!!!?
OK, your custom is F$&%$ AMAZING!!!! Can't wait to see it properly painted. PRAISE PAUL PRIME |

But before I can think about painting, first I have to figure out how to make the combined supercarrier mode work again. Grrr.
I think it would be possible to replace the shoulder connectors (for the green pontoons) with similar connectors that swivel. That way the combined mode would be the same as usual, and robot mode would feature the underside of the pontoons facing forward in bot mode... which wouldn't be so bad. A bit of touch up on the bottoms of those pontoons, and they'll look alright I think. It'll take a bit of cutting and sanding, but no gluing (yay!).
I suspect I might have found the kinds of joints I need in the right size in Energon Prowl's legs... about time that figure became useful for something! Anyone else got any suggestions?

I'd love to see you make a tutorial for this mod. For everyone working on customs in their sleep.
(btw, thank you for the compliment; I really appreciate it )
I hope that you continue to keep up great work like this, man |

I think my text at the opening post of this thread is as close as I'll get to a tutorial. I go into a fair bit of detail... I just don't have the pics to go along with it.
Fortunately, it's actually a pretty easy mod, so pictures aren't essential (though they don't hurt).
