Movie-accurate Optimus Prime 80% finished.

Here are the the most recent pics of my WIP Movieaccurate Optimus Prime.

The things I did so far:

I swapped his elbows.
Repainting all of the metalicsilver botparts.
Build articulating hands by using LEGO Bionicle ball-joints.
I made new exhaust-pipes by using aluminum-pipes. Large ones foor the truckmode and small ones for the botmode.
I added flames on his fore-arms, the hood and on his inner-legs by using Reprolabels. I gave the labels a washing. I also painted flames on his upper-arms freehand.
I gave Optimus Prime a ball-joint in his neck. His head is now articulating.
The ball-joints are from the brand Yellow Sub, bought on the internetshop HobbyLink Japan.
I also made his head more movieaccurate as you can see.

So, what do you all think of this so far?

That's awesome! That's much better than the job I did on my leader prime. I liked the weathered look on your reprolabels stickers. I added the stickers to mine, too. Good work.

I just cut of his head with an exacto-knife and leaved the turning part in the chest. Then I cutoff the wiring of the LED and pushed the rest of the wiring in the chest-hole. The next step I took was to put an aluminum-pipe in to the hole and I glued it with superglue. The outer-diameter of the pipe is almost the same of the hole were I put it in. The ball-joint I used is from the brand Yellow Sub wich you can buy at HobbyLink Japan Home Page (HobbyLink Japan) and I used the biggest ball-joint (8 mm). The head itself is completely hollow and is build up in 4 pieces (the back of his head, fore-head, nose/mouthpiece and lightpiping), so you have to use the biggest one. The inner-diameter of the alu-pipe is the same as the outer-diameter of the ball-jointpin, so it can put in straight on. The pipe itself stucks 5 or 6 mm out of the chest. I wanted the head stay in place when transforming. It still can. But watch it when you transform him back in botmode, the head will be ejected when you pull down the lever to pop-up his head. I also added some movieaccurate details underneath his head to cover-up the space between his head and the chest. It doesn't infect the articulation.

I added some pictures to complete my answer.

Well, there are a couple of things I want to do, such as his gun with the belt, give him some washings and highlights, adding some movieaccurate details and some minor battle-damage to make him more realistic. Still I'm working with the motto "LESS GIVES MORE". I dont want to get it overdone.
