    Wip 5 - superion - Done

***update 2/10*** Just some painted pics I wanted to get up...I'm not sure but maybe the color scheme is off...Should I paint the chest grey? Also, I'm getting feedback that feet would be better... I'm starting to agree. Let me know.

So my wife and daughter went to my mother in law's this weekend which gave me ample time to start playing around with my "Seeker" Superion. I think I hit a stopping point and before I go further, I was wondering what pointers everyone likes/dislikes and so on. Bare in mind that these planes are seekers so they all look a little hacked up to change from f16 to f4/f15/harrier.

Following ThyViper's style and advice, I decided to 86 the Primus forearms but kept the hands. The upper seekers have full waist rotation which makes for better arms IMO.

Hew stands currently over 14 inches tall and the only kibble is Primus' waist/midsection. With all that, usual thanks go out to all those I've talked to in the past regarding this project. Thanks YourReflection for the waist and wing mod ideas.

With that - Have at it!

This looks really good Moe. You are a combiner beast man...how much time have you spent on this guy so far?

    Looks like another winner.

Actual work time was maybe 13 hours for this weekend. I know I'm slow but I was watching movies while bashing so it was fun for me. Especially trying to figure out how everyone was going to combine...I literally had no idea then I started thinking back to construction days and started putting a few things together and viola. I tried to hide all the combiner ports but I had to make sacrifices here and there (namely silverbolt's shoulders and Primus' arms). I think the sacrifices were necessary. The only other thing I could do was make a chest piece that completely covers silverbolt and the chest piece would have the arm attachments but I think this guy is wide enough as is.

Looking good. I like this new take.

If you could, please let me know what you are using for the arm attachments. It looks like legos to me, but what type/product did it come from?

Those were from a lego knights lot I got off of ebay. they are good for holding up lighter weight items. These arms were almost a stretch for them but the weight wasn't as bad as I thought.

Kalron, I highly recommend the lego knights joints, besides being good all around joints, they are ratcheting, so weight-permitting they will hold a pose! Other than Lego Knights the Lego Bionicle parts are sometimes useful, as are Neoshifters.

Back to the topic at hand, that's looking really good Moe! It's hard to customize four seekers to look entirely different from each other, but then again the original g1 guys all look rather similar too. I think it's a great start. Any ideas what additional customizing work you're thinking of putting into them, or are they pretty much set?

I agree 100% with your choice of hands, and his proportions are excellent.

Here's an update on "seeker" superion. Just added a head and chest coverings to hope that it pulls him more together. What do you think?

looks good so far, i would suggest some styrene for the 2 acid storms to cover the cockpit in robot mode.

Wow! Great job on the head! I wasn't expecting that, but it works amazingly well. I was just trying to figure out how I would handle a Superion the other night, so I'm finding your solutions pretty interesting.

    Head is great! Amazing job!

Chest looks good, but doesn't say "superion" to me, it's more of a generic chest look...I was expecting something more "aerial' themed, like the g1 chest. It does really give him a gestalt feel though, makes him seem more cohesive.

The head brings the entire thing into proportion, not that there was a problem before. I also like the chest plate...this one is super original!!!
