Where'd you get the cool light blue Cog repro?

 

To be honest, I can't remember the guy's name (that worked on Cog). I think Rabbid Squirrel took over for him later several years ago. It took forever (like 9 months at least) for the guy to send Cog, and two black guns for Brave Max. That said, they are excelent pieces also, and I really need to finish painting Cog's legs, and face plate.

The above is not to be confused with Darkov who does very well in getting things done in good time.

 

Sorry I havn't posted in a bit. I've been busy catching up on orders. Also....I will have a whole bunch of new parts to add very soon. Thanks to Hoolagrin...He sent me a whole box full of parts that people have been requesting. So I've been molding those just takes time. So keep watch.....

I tell you what I'd like to see : G1 Soundwave Chest Windows ! The amount of otherwise mint Soundwaves you come accross with battered/snapped/scratched to death chests is unbelievable ! Also, although I love my TRU soundwave, the grid thing on the front of it cheeses me off, any possibility of doing a chest piece without it on ? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss

 

Ooo. I will wait and see what else you've got lined up - I need some Omega Supreme leg clips, but I'd rather put in a bulk order.

 

Hey don't know for sure if thee parts were mention before, but I do know I have had a seriously hard time finding them at a good price. The parts I refer to are G! Gnaw gun and tail/mace. Also. what about powermaster engines, they seem harder to find than headmasters?

 

A belated review: Darkov supplied me with payment in trade for Music Label Soundwave weapons and the gun barrel for BT Honda molds.

The gunbarrel is excellent. The set of Alt missile launchers he threw in were very, very well-done as well, but the pegs had to be sanded a bit to fit into the peg-holes. No big deal.

The Soundwave weapons were gorgeous. Came with a little flashing and some raised mold seams, but hey: a hobby knife, sandpaper, and five minutes later, they're in great shape! (You'll see those turn up in a custom I'm working on... I'll give credit!)

In summary, we're very lucky to have a talented caster working for us. I'll be ordering/trading with Darkov at any opportunity.

Combiner weapons?

Hey Darkov, I really don't want to read through all the pages, so I hope you'll forgive me when I ask, are you making or have plans if parts are provided to make any of the handheld weapons for the various combiner teams. Just spent a little bit more than I really wanted completing 2 sets I have, and if parts were needed I would love to send some stuff in for use to save people from that nightmare, ala Menasor, Abominus, and Devastator. Again, sorry if this has been covered, lmk.

im working on my first custome and i bet you can guess what it will be. lmao. i know its been done to death but im on a big "black convoy", scourge, nemisis prime kick right now.... what can i say :-D

 

Hello All! As you can see these are Darkov's completed seeker laser molds. Overall, I am pleased (and can appreciate the hardness of actually making them since I tried it once). Colorwise they are close to the toy plastic. However, Thundercracker and Thrust's are a little too light (nothing that a little paint won't fix). Starscream's lasers are actually a perfect match for the latest aniversary edition. Skywarp's black lasers though correctly colored will probably get a coat on paint to make them shinier.

Some of them were a little bent, but with a little patience (very slowly), you can pull them into shape. However, you must be careful, they are more brittle than standard plastic, and should be used for display (not battles). Also, make sure the the track on the lasers is trimmed correctly, or you risk breaking it off inside the launchers when you take the lasers back out.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but I've always wanted wings and a sword made of hard plastic for Vector Prime. The Japanese version had the hard plastic, but the Hasbro versions have that clear bendy kind. I've been wanting to paint his sword silver and add detail to his wings, but can't due to that material bending and cracking the paint.

I painted mine years ago when I made that Alpha Trion, and his paint isn't cracked, 3 years later  

 

Lucky lucky man.   My wings were bent at the small end and the sword had a bow to it. Tried my best to heat and straighten for my Alpha Trion custom, but it just wouldn't work. I had a painted bent sword and wings that...well really didn't crack per se, but the paint didn't stay smooth. I just ended up buying a Japanese one, but couldn't bare to paint it because I like that version of VP so much. Now I have a wingless and swordless half done AT custom that has been collecting dust for years.  
I'd be happy with just a repro hard plastic sword.
