Hey guys,


I get my best ideas while falling asleep. Last night, I envisioned a Soundwave combiner.

I am unsure who to use for Frenzy/Rumble,
And also unsure on the names of the figures I want to use for the others, but here are their descriptions:

Soundwave
Main Torso/Chest/Head = TFU Onslaught

Buzzsaw & Laserbeak
Upper arms and wings on combined mode's back = Energon Divebomb

Ravage
Left Lower arm = Energon Battle Ravage

Beastbox
Right lower arm = TFTM ...uh was his name Joypad? the controller one

Overkill/Slugfest
Upper legs = no idea who to use yet, though I think they'd need to be small

Frenzy/Rumble
Lower legs = would be twins (same figure) and I hope to have them combine together to become a secondary gestalt.

Any ideas ? I think this might be a cool idea.

 

This sounds like a cool idea I allways wondered how both Soundwave and Blaster would look and work as being a Gesalt Warrior. Also I think this idea was broght-up sometime in the 80's during G1 but never followed thru with.
I also think the names they were going to use for these two characters were:
Decibel for Soundwave, and Legout for Blaster. You could call them the Gesalt Information Warriors.

I say go for it! But remember if you do Soundwave your gonna have to do Blaster as well. Good luck!

 

I know, I thought about blaster being done as well. Maybe I'll do them both at the same time, do a blaster vs. soundwave combiner set....

 

for Overkill/Slugfest
you could always try Energon cruellock/Doomlock figures?
and for Frenzy/Rumble you could try Cybertron Scrapmetals(Comes in Blue,Red & Yellow )

I say go for it. All your customs always come out great and I know this wouldnt be any different. I love the Idea.

 

Sounds like fun! Upper legs could be:

Overkill= Cruellock, or Repugnus
Slugfest= Backstop, modded to look like a Stegosaurus

Backstop is pretty unintelligent looking, would fit perfectly for Slugfest. I do realize there is some girth differences between say, Cruellock and Backstop, but it works in my mind.

And you still gotta have someone to perch on his arm, so I say Sideways/Ratbat as, well you know, Ratbat!

mmmm. I don't think it would work. I would rather try and do some other combiner such as Bruticus or Abominus. I respect your work greatly and would love to help if you plan on doing any more G1 combiners  

 

Oh man, I can't wait to see this!! because a) i think your stuff is the work of genius, and b) I did a drawing of something very similar a couple of years back and i'd forgotten all about it. thanks for reminding me!!!

I actually had two combiner sets for Soundwave,: Megahertz and Jurassicon.

Megahertz:
torso + thighs- Soundwave
right arm- Buzzsaw
left arm- Laserbeak
right leg- Rumble
left leg- Frenzy
chest piece- ratbat
weapon- Ravage
(forgot all about squawkbox!!)

Jurassicontorso + thighs- Soundwave
right arm- Redneck (one of my fan characters- a brontosaurus cassette)
left arm- Overkill
right leg- Slugfest
left leg- Heavy Metal (one of my fan characters- a triceratops cassette)
chest piece- chainsaur (one of my fan characters- a pteradactyl cassette)

how about those two combining animted figs for frenzy + rumble (jetfire/jetstorm?????)

 

try 2 tftm armour strong arms for frenzy and rumble

 

nothing is " I don't think it would work"

Im kinda hoping you would finish the Cybertron Jetfire repaint that you were working on a while ago, the one i didi a digi-bash for.

I cant really envision a Soundwave combiner, but I'm sure that if you are on it, it will be dope as hell.

 

After thinking about it, I'd rather see a modern Soundwave where all of the casettes make up a certain part of him. It wouldn't necessarily be a combiner though. If that makes sense.

 

Great suggestions everyone. I am digging strong arm for frenzy and rumble. This is a project I hope to do quite soon, gotta get some commissions up to date first ;O

 

If you do Blaster you could use these to form his Gesalt:

Upper Arms:
Raindace: Energon Sky Treadshot/Windrazor
Grandslam: Energon Sky Treadshot/Windrazor

Lower Arms:
Ramhorn: Cybertron Backstop
Steeljaw: Cybertron Snarl or Energon Ravage

Upper Legs:
Dial: Cybertron Undermine/Repugnus
Noise: Cybertron Wreckloose

Lower Legs:
Eject: Cybertron Clocker/Swerve
Rewind: Cybertron Clocker/Swerve

I think Raindace and Grandslam also formed A smaller gesalt being Slamdance
You cold make Reject and Rewind Combine as well.

 

Depends on the size. With the right modifications, classics ravage from the Hound set and Nightstick from universe Cyclonus' targetmaster set could work for parts. I could totally see that combo, and I still have my Raindance and Grandslam, their combine wasn't more than a simple peg in.

 

You have to have ratbat and squawktalk in there somwhere, you just have to! If anyone should have an alternate mini gestalt mode it should be squawktalk/beastbox. :-D

You know we'll all be expecting dinobot and insecticon combiners from you next, right?

I can't wait to see what you come up with! However you choose to do it, I know it'll be great.

 

I kinda think you could throgh Ratbat in as Chest Piece on Soundwave.
And on Blaster you could use Sundor as Chest Piece.

Not sure on what figures to use for both.

By the way I'm getting all my information on names for these cassettes for Blaster from tfu.com so they are lagit names.

 

errr, i forgot rabat and squalktalk, I suppose those can become back parts/chest parts or weapons. no idea with this yet, still a VERY eatly stage.
