This one is started out as a G2 Prime, I started with a G2 because the blue and red are brighter than the G1, and I wanted it to be more toon accurate. In other attempts to do so, I gave him a blue windshield, painted his eyes blue, and im making a new set of forearm stickers and a couple stickers for his bumper, and I bought a reproduction energon axe off ebay last night that ill display with him, with a matrix. He also has a few paint chips on him that I need to touch up, so I guess hes a WIP, but for now, here he is, with ball joints on his hips, shoulders, and head, and feet with more movement.

I just updated with pics of his LED headlights/Energon axe, Credit for the idea goes to Smog, thanks man. I tried to take the pics without background light, but they turned out like crap, and with low light they wernt much better, but you get the idea.

Special thanks goes to master kitbasher JAF, for the articulated fists. Prime can now hold the Matrix!

I was wondering when we'd see this from you. Insanely fun these are (what'm I, Yoda?), but this one is especially great.

The only thing I might change, is adding some more articulated hands now too. It might not totally fit in with the aesthetic, but depending on how you did it it could really bring the whole thing together to the highest level possible.

Or something. I still hate you though. :)

Thanks man, Im actually going to display him with an energon axe on the left arm, but since the right hand holding the gun is a dark blue instead of the lighter G2 blue, I might do something. What hand could I use that is to scale?

Beautiful! It's amazing how a bit of articulation brings them to life!
Hasbro should have reissued the 1984 G1 lineup articulated like this! They could have made it another segment of their 25th Anniversary line. I would be all over these!

100% agree... If Hasbro released the entire 84 lineup done like this I would buy everyone of them. I wonder how the Ipod Prime/Convoy's head would look on this? Great work as always.

Man, you have quickly become one of my favorite bashers. I am dying to know how you do these guys.
In terms of in scale hands classics line guys would look great, especially Ironhides.

Sooo sweet TG. This one was anticipated by many of us. I'll send you the articulated hands if you agree to hook them up!

I too really wish Hasbro/Takara would've worked out something like this for the 25th anniversary. Prime was already a decently articulated figure for G1 but you've put him over the top, great work as always :D

Totally agree. These guys look great. I guess Hasbro wouldn't have a need for the classics line if they did this from the get go. That's one of the great things about the classics...the articulation. You, however, are creating your own line of classics. Classics done right. Wonderful!
