Here are a few shots of the 1/25 scale movie Barricade I've been working on. The skeleton is made from modified Bionicle parts. So far, I've cut and attached all the of the Mustang model's interior and frame to the skeleton. I am moving on to the painting of this stage. Most of this stage must be painted and detailed before any more parts are added. Then I will cut, paint and fit all the the more familiar Barricade parts (the car's shell, glass, tires, etc). He stands at about 7 inches tall in crouching position, putting him at about 14.5 feet tall in terms of real world size. The addition of the upper arm tires and the finished head will add a little to his overall height. Thanks for taking a look and for any comments you'd like to share.
I really like how the claws look! i cant wait to see this one i mean your soundwave came out like unbeleivibly awsome! soo i know this one will as well!
This MAY be better than your Soundwave! And I'm a huge Soundwave fan! Barricade looks incredible already!!
I've found this project to be a little harder overall because I'm trying to maintain the basic look of the existing design. Trying to keep the proportions and details at least within the ballpark adds to the time required to finish the project. But it's still fun. Soundwave was a little easier because I was basing it off of several different sources with the freedom to change more as I went along. Glad you like what I've done so far. Thanks!
Thanks. The white plates used for the claws are the only parts I had to make from scratch (sheet styrene). Modifying the Bionicle hands to more closely match Barricade's was a bit of a challenge (lots of cutting, reshaping, fitting and re-attaching).
