My First Kitbash - Devastator

First, let me start off by stating that I am new to all of this and I would never have attempted to do this unless I had seen the awesome work everyone else contributing to these message boards. The how to's helped me out big time as well. Thanks again ptitvite, satomiblood , ALPHAMAGNUS, and frenzy rumble for the great ideas for my Dev.

I'm still waiting to find a cement mixer to finish mixmaster and I think I'm going to put the unicron head on a ball joint.

***Update 8/23***
The cement truck came so I attached it and I also changed the way hook and longhaul combine providing a much stable connection. The heads from Sculptbot came today so all I need is for the ball joints to come then he will be off to the painters.

***Update 8/24***
Today, I gave him a shoulder mount canon from Unicron's chest - I need to change it a little bit more to get it where I want it. Also, I made him 2 identical pistols that can mount to his hips. One is mounted and the other is in his left hand.

***Update 9/25***
Painted him up but ran out of green paint...waiting for more to come in so that I can do touch ups. All in all I learned a lot from this combiner. Thanks again to all the other inspirations out there...you know who you are!

***Update 10/06***
I think he's as complete as I need him to be. Had a wonderful time doing this guy and i'm off to the next project...DEFENSOR!

Just for your consideration, if you shave down the sides of Unicron's head that are flared out at towards the neck, give a flat look, it should look alright.

looking good. one major suggestion...throw that head away and use a smaller one. big robots with small heads look larger. robots with big heads look little.

Everything looks pretty solid.

The head is the only think that needs work. I think a smaller head would work much better with the scale of the figure.

I look forward to seeing more of this.

Let me be the FIRST to say that your kitbash could use a smaller head.

Looks very promising nonetheless.

Not a bad idea. I'll have to start looking at other heads if I can't shrink unicron down enough.

I think you should look for another head before you spend a lot of time with the Unicron head. Even if you remove a lot of the outside, the face will still be too large for the rest of the figure.

Consider Cybertron Starscream's head, either get one off of a junker, or buy one from Sculpt-bot. Then mod it a little, and wa-la.
I saw a Boxing commercial and it said "It's a fight to the finish" Thats a good place to end.

For a beginner its just like the rest of the Radicons who done this before. I too agree that the head needs to be smaller other than that it'll look great. So great job.
