Hehe, yes, another Ironhide. Definitely had fun with him. Didn't paint the main body, but I did do the obvious face change, plus the windows. (Got rid of the sunroof) Also did up the shoulders in gray to help bring out a bit of the original. I left the forearms in black since I think it's a cool look. But one thing I decided to do was change the shade of gray. Sad thing is, the paint color I'm using chips a bit. I'll have to locate the scrape points and fix it later. But for now, I think the shade helps bring out a bit more of the cartoon feel. Also decided to leave the yellow stripe off. It'd look tacky, and I'm pretty good with how he looks. And yeah, I have him transformed in the alternate way that makes him taller. I was debating with doing the backscrew mod to put his tires in his backpack better, but it doesn't look so bad the way I have him. (angling them away from the body just enough to show transformation.) So, yeah, add another custom Ironhide to the pile. The more the merrier, eh?
As with all of your work, I really like this one! I like a lot of the decisions you made with ol' Ironhide here. I don't consider this (or any other custom) that is similar to another "one for the pile", rather "one custom among a lot of similar customs for each of our collectins" Great work
Very nice. I agree with your decision to skip on the yellow stripe...the alt mode just wasn't designed with a stripe-accommodating transformation, haha.
I have to leave it at "cannot confirm/deny." Obviously, not all my kitbashes will appear in the comic. But I don't want to spoil anything either. Sorry.
