For those unaware, the Turbomasters were a group of transformers that were released after the line was in limbo in the US, subsequently they only saw release in Europe, Australia, Canada and Japan. I myself owned one of these exclusive bots so now I intend to recreate him and the rest of the team from bots currently on the market Boss - Sideswipe, Sunstreaker transformation with altered head Flash - Bluestreak Repaint with altered bodywork on the front of the car Hurricane - heavily modified Sunstreaker, Sideswipe transformation Scorch - Either repaint/ head retool of Hound or a straight repaint of movie Camshaft Storm AKA Rotorstorm - Evac repaint (if i'm unsatisfied with Energon Bulkhead renovation) Thunderclash - Classics Prime mold, redone face and instead of the windbreak, 2 pieces of plastic that fold over the from windscreen in robot mode but cover the head in vehicle mode (could probably do with some input on this as I'd like to hinge it but am not sure how) Anybody wishing to digibash would be a great help (Cos I suck), Storm and Boss especially as I intend to do these first. for more information http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Turbomaster Any constructive comments or digibahes welcome 2 Edit- I went through storage earlier and found my early custom of Energon Bulkhead into Rotorstorm. The paint job though uneven is better than I expected. I shall work on this guy over the coming weeks to see if I can make him more pleasing to my eye. If not then Cybertron Evac will once again be considered forgive the harsh colour on the digibashes. Only just starting with paint.net and it was the only way I could get the right colour dominant Digibashes are now up of most of the team, (I can't quite manage to do Thunderclash well so I haven't done him) but work has started on scorch (classics Ironhide, Rotorstorm has lost his fogey moustache and hurricane has gained goggles)
Sounds like a killer idea! I think the Energon/Cybertron line would have some good matches for you to use! I say go for it my man!!
sounds good, i would change some of the molds though, hurricane, either cyb blurr or classic mirage, storm, energon bulkhead looks more like his helicopter thunderclash, cyb prime, you could remould the chest, and the arms will already have the front of the truck on them
great idea, loved the Turbomasters way back, I'm eager to see what comes out of this some predators would be awesome too
I've got one of them in storage, that was actually one of my first kitbashes but didn't come out too well. if I dig him out and he's in an alright state I'll try stripping the paint and starting from scratch. now update with a quick and dirty digibash of Flash (and a reason I don't attempt to digi often) I would do Hurricane from Mirage but the mold just doesn't strike me as bulky enough for the character. Thunderclash from cybertron Prime though I may consider. That horrible face he has to go though. It would also mean I wouldn't have to track down another magnus for the bash
This sounds really interesting,the Turbomasters never get enough love. I agree IMO Mirage is way too thin. Cybertron Prime seems a great choice,maybe you could get a gun base mode out of him too.
Really? I was going to do Boss from energon Downshift. Yeah, he's short, but he's a cool character and he's clearly TF Batman.
I never said his front wasn't to be modded I chose the universe lambo mold because not only does the transformation look like the original but features the spinning chest that the original had. Plus Energon Downshift leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to articulation Thunderclash will probably be made from Cybertron prime

Of course not. I'm just happy to have inspired someone. I am going back to uni tomorrow. this is actually a good thing as that is where my cybertron Op is and TRU and Argos are literally just across the road. I am also bidding on another Energon Bulkhead on ebay. If I'm successful in stripping the paint he might get kitbashed anyway and sold on.
work has started on some of these guys unfortunately scorch the easiest one to do is going to have to wait, I only have one silverstreak and couldn't find another. I worked on Scorch most of this morning and am just about to disassemble him for paint removal. Hurricane is also just a standby until I find another sideswipe/sunstreaker, he has two of the same shoulder joint
seems its coming together nicely for you, I love the Turbomasters, my first real team that I managed to get most of the toys for, scorch and boss being the ones I missed. I can't wait to see what you do with that Prime.
well, stripping the paint on ironhide didn't go well. It's a good job that TRU have loads of him and i bought a spare earlier. I'll paint test him tomorrow to see if I can salvage him.
