Dyingwill3rd guessed it right: it's the G1 Throttlebot Wide Load

I've been fooling around with ideas for Wide Load's body. I mixed up parts from Heavy Load and Hightower. Still trying to see if I can give the figure more articulation. As it stands, the transformation is pretty mindless (think Cybertron Excellion).

Colors say Blitzwing to me, but that's the headsculpt I was using for an Autobot! Hmmmmm....................

 

First glance it screams Predacon, but that's just me being a Predacon whore  

But I know your planning on doing more TF/Gobots so I'm going to have to guess Turbo

 

Interesting guesses so far but no cigar.

I'll give you another hint. It's not a Gobot.

The colors make me say no, but Hardhead?

 

It's not a Gobot. It's also not a combiner or part of one. Pay attention to the colors and note that it's not a Predacon although that's a pretty good guess. I suppose that only a select few are going to know who it is. But it's definitely G1 and it's from a particular subline.

 

Here's my guess: for some reason that face just says Beachcomber to me, I don't know why but thats my guess.

That's who I'm using the head for. HeavyLoad has that "stoned hippie" smile too! It's quite the perfect Beachcomber head!

Very cool. What mold are you going to use for this one?

 

Heavy Load from RID Landfill seems like my best bet. I considered Energon Demolishor, but was somewhat disappointed with the mold. The dump truck was great, and I loved the missiles, but there was something about the robot that I wasn't too keen on. Heavy Load isn't exactly perfect, either. There are limitations to his arm movement that I'd like to fix. But we'll see. At least I've got a cool looking head sculpt.

 

Yeah, as soon as I looked at the head for a while, I put together why it looked so familiar. Look forward to seeing it finished!
