Thanks to TRU clearance and some Skeleflex action, I finally have some balljoints to play with. I thought Titanium Grimlock was awesome aside from his crappy arm movement and swivel head. I figured I would fix that eventually...

When opening him up, there's plenty of room to work with inside.

So I started with the foot from the Stegasaurus kit and trimmed it to fit inside.

All I really cut off was just the toes and the back heel and enlarged the original head hole on his torso

To reinforce it, I grabbed a left over piece from Primus' shoulder... I could have used a lego piece but this was lying around closer.

    It may not be pretty...

    but it works.

Unfortunately, the head is soft rubber/plastic and is hollow most of the way inside -- so I haven't found a screw long enough to mount the ball at the end yet.

As for the arms, I had to shave down a mount and stuck it in there. I also had to trim down the area around the hole inside the assembly as well as enlarging the hole itself

The top of the arm is in the way when moving up, so I'd have to shave that down in order to give it back its full movement.

I just cut off the ball from one of the legs and drilled a hole in to screw a screw in. Once it was in, I cut off the screw head and screwed that into a hole I drilled into the original arm mounts on his torso. I figured I had to keep those because they hold the chest plate in place.

For now, it seems to be pretty good -- I might need to trim more down to get it a better range of movement. It doesn't seem to be as expressive as I hoped so far. Your thoughts?

    Very cool :thumbs2:
When I ever get around to get another Titanium Grimlock I wouldn't mind trying this as well.
