Hello! Here is my latest and greatest, Wasp! He is a painted Bumblebee Activator figure. All the colors had to be custom mixed because of his unique shades and every detail is exactly like my client wanted(I emailed him almost everyday with question and ideas). Thanks for looking and commenting.

What nobody realised is that when i put up a request to have this figure done, i didnt expect to get so many interested people wanting to take on this commission,
Ive no idea about custom figures and who in the radicons world would be the best man for the job.
So i got greedy and ended up commissioning 3 figures,
I first aproached frenzy_rumble on his website and he was interested but we never got thing going, then i discovered this web site and put on this commission request and i got my list down to 4 people (shinobitron sadley had to much going on and had to opt out) so my list was down to 3,
I couldnt decide on one as i liked the style and different techniques they all used
so i commissioned Tony, Ramrider and Spoonman,
Tonyz is the first to put his up, spoonman is nearly done and looks ace, ive not heard from ramrider this week but his is coming along very nicley
    Am i greedy/stupid to commission 3 wasps

very nice work , good job on getting that color right ive got to make one myself iwas expecting hasbro to do it but it doesnt look like thats going to happen now
i think its ok to get 3 diffrent takes on a chracter you really like and from 3 very good artists cant wait to see the rest of them

Yeah i was quite glad when i saw the wasp hasbro were making (mainly because i had already commissioned this wasp before i knew what one hasbro were putting out, as it would of been so easy for hasbro to of just repainted bumblebee)
I cant wait to see how all 3 wasps look together

That looks really nice Tony....love the head. I hope they release an official one like this.

    Congrats Wasp819 :thumb

Nothing wrong with having 3 customs of the same figure....I once had like 3 or 4 Alt Prowls....each one was different.

Very nice! Loving the head sculpt.

Would be great if you made a deluxe version though but no complaining.

Great work Tony! He really stands out and at the same time seems to fit the TFA aesthetic perfectly. I like the idea of painting his hands but that choice is between you and Wasp819

In regards to the 3 commissioned pieces, are they all the same mold? Is one of them at least the deluxe size? And commissioning work is no cheap deal so I'd say you just really love the character more than anything. I've commisioned 2 Jazz's within the last 2 months

I gave all 3 artist the same instructions on the kind of figure i was after, i sent ramrider and spoonman a activator bumblebee each, I paid tony for the commish and the price of a ABB
And yes commissioning 3 was quite expensive (i just wanted to have options)
i really really hate the deluxe version of BB he is way too big and looks seriously bad really plasticly (just compare deluxe BBs head with prowls)
Activator BB is more in tune with the sizes on the animated show, which in my book makes his superior (ive also seen acouple of custom deluxe wasps - ive been told that one will appear on e-bay soon)
Also check out e-bay member collector_kb he has acouple of animated customs for sale (inc ultra magnus made from cybertron mode optimus, deluxe cliffjumper, soundblaster) the best thing about these is they are displayed in their own custom boxes.

    It was my pleasure. :thumb

Thanks! The colors were a pain, especially when I noticed I missed something or needed to touch up and make another small batch. :banghead:

Thanks sir! Next up on my menu is Deluxe Animated Plowking:thumb , hes actually ready for painting, just need to cast the head.

Thanks a bunch! Yes the shades were a pain.

    Thanks Mikey!

Thanks Bro! LOL High standards? I just want customs I can be proud of no matter what their size.
Thanks very much! I have a Deluxe BB and I have been thinking about it, who knows.

Thanks very much bro! More to come including my WW Shockwave.

Thanks, that's exactly what Mark wanted, a clean custom that would fit in with his store bought figures.

    :D

    Thanks Lucs, appreciate the feedback.

    Thanks!

I had no idea, cool, three wasps is three times the awesomeness!

    Thanks Andy, appreciate the feedback.

Sorry if I dont get back to anyone or reply for the next 2 days, I will be spading my Halloween in Vegas. Wish me luck! LOL
